I can attest to all of that. It’s been what I’ve been working on in lessons since January. It’s amazing the difference it makes

I haven’t tried it at the range yet but in my yard with driver it seems to help my form. It makes sense

Dude this video is amazing. I’ve been trying to work on starting my downswing with my hips and this made a lot of stuff click. Hogans book says start with the hips and everything else falls into place on the downswing. This left foot focus makes you start your downswing with the hips and drops your hands to create lag.

I watched this video last night and tried it in my round today. Took a while to warm up to it but inevitably on the back I flew past two greens cause my approach shots were 20-30 yards longer than normal. Then by the end I was absolutely smashing the driver and wound up with a couple fifty yard approach shots from 350ish tees.

I skimmed through the video while at work, but are you pushing off with the ball of your foot to initiate the downswing? I have a tendency to come over the top. I'll watch it in full when I get home tonight.

I watched it in full and still not sure. I took out a club in my office to swing slowly, and it seems that is the case. I can't really make myself come over the top if I am focusing on pushing off the ball of my left foot.

I'm concerned because it seems like every YT video clearly reflects my swing issues when I have absolutely no idea.

Yep, he says ball and big toe and second toe (pointer finger toe). When you push with that to initiate downswing it will automatically twist your hips. Voila the hands fall and follow the motion. Tinker with it but if you go through this sequence you should be able to identify a serious amount of unseen power on the range.

I don't totally buy that that feeling with the left foot helps the club get slotted/shallow any better but it absolutely is how you generate that vertical ground force and get your weight/hips in a much better position.

ETA I would say most amateur golfers have almost zero understanding of how to properly use the ground, this is a fantastic feeling to help with that

Pretty cool but no one wants that ball flight anymore these days.

Power slice cut is what makes them cheer.

I just keep it simple and keep it in play.
I throw the clubhead back, and swing the club to the target.
Basically Ernest Jones/Manuel de la Torres type idea.
The body just follows the swing.
I don’t think about endless positions, just a swinging motion.
I stay centered.

It is amazing how young, athletic, flexible golfers can move the club so fast.
I almost always hit first from the fairway. I am amazed how far guys get the ball down range.

This video has, no kidding, added at least 25 yards to my drive, and I am hitting them straighter than ever. I need to keep working on contact, but I am happily sore as shite from 63 holes since Saturday.

Wow. This is exactly what I have been looking for. My major issue is getting too armsy. I have to remind myself to start my body first. This nails it.

Did 9 Holes today and focused on this. Good news, my iron and fairway wood strikes were awesome today. Bad news, I must not be doing this right because with driver it caused me to really speed up with my hands and I was slicing the ball like I haven't done in a long time. I'm sure I was seriously casting and coming over the top.

Work in progress but I could really start feeling the ground.

You guys should follow Paxton from Pelican Point on Instagram. He does fun tips as Boba Flush. This was one of his first tips he did a while back.

Watched the video and tried it on the range today as I’ve been struggling with distance loss for a while now. Hard to tell distance with range balls but felt like I had more pop.

My biggest struggle though was I’m turning the ball over way too much. Maybe I’m doing something else that doesn’t jive with this pushing off the left foot approach or maybe I’m still releasing too early.
