I’m happy with my Vokeys but interested to hear if any of you guys have played these. Under $70 and outperforming $150+ clubs.

Wedges are so personal and low-tech that I don’t believe there is a “best” wedge. They were looking at averages, I wonder how many of the testers voted Costco their #1. I bet there was a lot of variability for each testers #1 wedge
Plus the 52-56-60 set is the only option, which won’t fit most modern iron gaps unless you use 5 wedges.

Are you kididing me? Have you seen the amount of options in bounce, and grind in some of the OEM wedges?

Probably the most common degree wedges used and probably the most used gapping. Classic 4°

Checked ebay just now.. prices are all over they place... Some are pretty cheap and the others are double the new price

That worked when PWs were 48 degrees, but that leaves a 7 degree gap with the modern 45 degree PW.

All that grind/bounce stuff if way overrated and unless you are on the tour really doesn’t mean much to the other 99% of golfers.
Most good golfers can do everything with one wedge that hackers carry 4-5 wedges for.

Hell most modern Game improvement irons are hovering the 42-43 degree range for a PW now.. So you'd need a gap wedge in between the gap wedge..

Yep, my PW is actually 41 degrees and I got a 45 degree gap and then a 50, 54 and 58.

Pretty sure that they do a lot of robotic testing unlike Golf Digest hot list which is very subjective.
the Gen 3 forged line specifically traces its manufacturing origin to the SM Global/Parker facility in China.

Disagree.
A large bounce can effect the performance/contact of most weekend golfers.
Depending on which wedge you use, it can be challenging to hit off a tight lie without thinning a chip.
Multi-angled grinds (instead of the big rounded grind) can greatly reduce turf interaction and help consistent contact in a variety of lies.
One of the many reasons I switched to Edison wedges is the multi-angled grind and minimal bounce angles.
It has been a game saver for me.

I couldnt disagree more. If conditions are really firm or really soft the bounce on the wedge is going to make a big difference for all cap levels.

My “PW” is 42, my approach is 46, then gap at 50. It’s fun to tell my friends I’m hitting a PW on a 150 yard shot, but I agree it’s silly. My 5 iron is more like a 3 iron.

I read this earlier today and thought "bullshite" and moved on.
Checked my clubs online tonight and my PW is..... 42.
I can't believe it. I just got these clubs and didn't check the wedge lofts as, frankly, I thought they were all 48, 52, 56 as standard.
I now have 42, 47, 56 (ordered extra with the PW and U wedges when I got my set). No wonder I have been struggling with my Wedge distances since I got these clubs two months ago.
I now have to go back and really reconsider my bag. This is what happens when you buy a new set of irons on a whim after hitting the same clubs for 20 years.

They’ve been strengthening irons for a while now to make it appear a new 7 iron goes further than your old 7 iron when in fact your new 7 is just an old 6.
