LIV event left damages

quote:

According to the Adelaide-based news outlet The Advertiser, some members at The Grange are upset over the repercussions of hosting the fledgling league’s event, most notably the deterioration of the course caused by all the beer around the Watering Hole and temporary installations that resulting in “six weeks with a compromised course.” With club fees that exceed $4,000 a year, separate from an initiation fee of $7,500, several members have been vocal over their displeasure at the way the LIV event was run and what has followed ever since.

If the club didn't consider that in their contract negotiations, that's the club's fault.

If the members are pissed bc they lost time on their home course, then they are just like every other group of members whose course hosts a big event.

Played the Greg Norman course in Mayakoba a few months ago and they still had all LIV advertising one month after the tournament. Trashy!!

My club out here is $50k to join and $18k a year

click bait article (not the OPs fault). Typical BS. Some members are pissed, but others are complimenting the course for holding the event.

Sounds like the parish fair at my church. My mom hates it, most of the parishioners enjoy it.

So the three broke members of the tournament are upset. This is huge. I highly doubt they will ever host another event with that type of backlash.

Side note, that course looked pretty badass, that is cheap.

LIV was always going to blow out the Aussie event, course should have prepped for that. It will probably become their biggest tourney by a huge margin.

They have cam smith and Australia is a market they could really capture. They almost need to get rid of events in the states and focus exclusively international.

Fledgling, huh? It looks to be doing just fine. I’d say better than the DP Tour.

Maybe the Australian Government can fork over some the absurd amount of payroll taxes they accumulated to The Grange to pay for the damage made by drunk Australian fans.

Fake news.

Once again.

I know I’m on the right side of an issue when I’m opposite of all the crying, pansy media.

The bigger story here is that a wannabe tour is using what equates to a local semi-private for their tour.. You'd think with all that money to throw around some nicer clubs would host it..

O gtfo. That's a top 50 course in Australia. The PGA tour plays at the Memorial Park Course in Houston, which is maybe a top 3 public course in Houston. Let's not act like all the PGA stops are on the best courses in the world.

Yeah, from everything I’ve seen the vast majority of the members loved it. Some members are always going to hate losing their course for a little while.
