Had the “can’t pull the trigger on my golf shot” dream last night

I was on the tee box ready to go but my tee was too low, every time I would adjust it I would go back to hit but the tee was either the wrong height or in the wrong spot in my stance. Sat there adjusting my tee and stance over and over but could never actually hit the ball.

God I hate this dream, who else has a version of it?

Not golf, but growing up playing Baseball I had a recurring dream of moving in slow motion trying to run out of the box

I had it a few nights ago. I couldn’t get to the first tee. That’s some crazy shite

Mine is hitting a drive out of a house or barn door and not having enough room to place the tee and have a swing

Yes . . . Cannot get a comfortable stance in a bunker and therefore can’t pull the trigger.

I'm playing this afternoon. Sorry I read your post. Hope I can get it out of my mind before I tee it up.

I have that one sometimes where I’m up against a fence and can’t figure out how to get room to swing the club

I don't know if I've ever hit a golf shot in a dream. There's always something keeping me from taking a swing.

I had one where I was about 135 yards to green over a small shrub. I kept setting up; then resetting, then backing up to look at the shot again.
Suddenly a FedEx jet appeared in the sky and was doing all kinds of crazy maneuvers like something was wrong with it. It then turned towards me and went right over my head. I watched it fly low over some trees.
I addressed the ball and the second I made contact the explosion from the crashing plane went off.
I immediately woke up.

I understand this one all too well . . . I never get to hit the ball, but I somehow jerk myself awake with the attempt to hit the ball in a confined space. It’s like Wiley E. Coyote trying to play golf . . . I get oh so close to contact, but never succeed.

I have something similar to this, but I am running full speed in place.

I have versions this dream fairly often. All of them crazy and frustrating. Things like a limb interfering with my backswing, something under ny foot, need ruling on relief, process of successive relief drops takes me on an odyssey far from the golf course. I never do make the swing.

This is what Chat GPT said about your dream.

Dreams about playing golf can represent your efforts to achieve your goals and aspirations in life. However, being unable to hit the ball in your dream could suggest that you are facing obstacles or challenges that are preventing you from making progress towards your objectives.

The specific details of the dream can also provide further insight into its meaning. For example, if you are struggling to hit the ball because the club keeps slipping from your hands, it may indicate that you feel you lack the necessary tools or resources to succeed. On the other hand, if you are trying to hit the ball but keep missing it, it may suggest that you are feeling frustrated or discouraged by your lack of progress.

I’ve had a similar dream. But it was in real life, during the second day of a tournament, and it was only while putting. This is also known as the yips. Chappy can attest to this. It was horrifying

That is hilarious! I have had the exact same dreams, but when I tell it to my wife or other non-golfers, they can’t relate at all. Like you, I’ve never actually made a swing in my dreams. Something is always hindering me.
