The most recent golf magazine I received didn’t have any courses in La ranked.
Maybe this is an additional ranking by state.
Thanks for sharing

TPC has gone up on big time on membership fees and it appears on everyday green fees as well. They are losing a lot of members over the price increases.

I play TPC a good bit and to be honest i just don't get the allure. Its long, flat and wide, which is why the pros eat it up. To me its not all that much better than City Park South as far as conditioning and challenge. If they are going to drastically go up in price on a permanent basis they are going to lose a lot of people.

I read an article that had Squire among the top 100 residential courses in the country

I think TPC is trying to have more tee times available for out of town people who pay the highest rate.

But the annual pass went from $3000 a year to $4000 a year. Plus you still have to pay a cart fee. And I think the booking window went from 14 days down to 7.

This is my take too. We had a group of 12 and were going to book 3 morning tee times June and they’re $240 each. Goes back to $149 in July.

The afternoon rate is way to go. How crowded is it at that price though?

Are those non resident rates? Resident rates are much less.

Gotta play 16 times for the membership to break even at $240 a pop. Might as well get the membership lol

We’re from BR so I guess it’s non resident. It’s on their website.

Since most private’s have no houses then maybe, but Squire is over rated on here imo

Call TPC and find out. I think resident rate is for anyone in Louisiana.

"Rate only applies to Louisiana residents, Louisiana ID must be presented to be valid. Rates may vary."

While I’m certainly not an accomplished enough golfer to opine on the difficulty of Kosati, I’ll say it’s one of the nicest courses I’ve played in S. La. The course, equipment, and facilities are always in great shape. It’s well maintained, clean, and I’ve never had a bad experience there. I’ve played it annually for the last four years and I always have a great experience. Even when I played it after a shite ton of rain it was nice.
I think the Super responsible for the course moved to a casino in LC last year so things may have changed, but I’ve been a fan of Kosati and his work. Hope the new guy maintains the course cause it’s a gem in a state that doesn’t have too many when it comes to golf. And that’s no slight towards the other nice courses in the area.

i appreciate the Kind words about my work. I did leave Koasati In November to come fix the Golden Nugget Course. It will take some time, but we are heading in the right direction.

as far as Koasati Being a top 10 in the state. All day long it is a top 5 when you consider the value for your money and conditioning. Squire would be top 5 in most states. there are some nice courses like Oakborne, BRCC East Ridge, Bayou Desiard CC. but English turn isn't a top 10 anymore based on condition and value, and City Park South is pretty decent but condition and value are there. I was the Assistant Super when we built and grew in TPC Louisiana and they have made that course too easy for the tour players from the original layout and that pic is #18.

Come on now bro! Squire would be top 5 in most states. Put that course in Dallas or Houston.....initiation fee would be 100k plus.

Louisiana is lucky to have the Davison family build it and continue to support it.
