I can't believe I read that whole article. The comparison to the comedians doing shows there is a joke.

It's going to be Potgieter and Min Woo Lee.

Don't blame them. They'll will disappear into obscurity, but they'll have some cash. But rumors are LIV has said the up-front money is done, so it's not quite the money it was a few years ago.

Potgeiter is kinda overrated at this point. He’s made 8/24 career cuts. He’s just marketable because he’s got crazy ball speed. Chef is also overrated but he’s got a lot of IG followers.

Who cares about notoriety when you’re wiping your arse with hundreds?

These dudes aren’t playing for legacy.

They play for cash. As I would and most rational thinking humans.

But you can do both on the pga tour…. The top PGA tour guys are making 25-50 million a year all in

Maybe two players are making this much. Scheffler and McIlroy.

Until LIV can prove they can make stars instead of just poach them they’re just delaying the inevitable. LIV poaches guys and then the PGA tour just creates new stars.

The only person who has grown their profile on LIV is Bryson and maybe Joaquin Niemann, and that’s basically a joke because of how bad he’s been in majors.

Also you definitely make more money playing on LIV on average than the pga tour (unless you’re Scottie) or you’re absolutely terrible on LIV like Anthony Kim. But full in with sponsors, comcast/fedex bonuses, winnings, and pga equity the top pga tour guys aren’t that far behind.b

What? A lot more than that are making over 25 million a year. A guy like Rahm would have easily been north of that number. He even told you before he left for LIV he was mega rich while playing on tour….

For example,Spieth, gets 20 million a year just from under armor alone, Tommy Fleetwood made 18 million just in earnings.

2 very young & talented golfers who chose LIV over PGA. OWGR pts & access to majors will only help their popularity/success grow

Min Woo Lee is not making a legacy on the PGA Tour. His legacy is on social media, where it will be just as big or bigger on LIV.

He won a tournament this year, was top 50 in money, and only made 3 million.

On LIV, Jinichiro Kozuma (whoever the hell that is), played in EIGHT tournaments, no wins, and made more money than Min Woo Lee. Not even counting team money which I'm sure was millions.

Why wouldn't someone like Min Woo Lee go to LIV? It's a no brainer.

Edit: Looks like Kozumas team finished dead last this year so definitely wasn't in the millions with team events. Safe to say Min Woo Lee is better than Jinichiro though and would make significantly more money.

Its a no brainer to start missing majors?

And someone like Lee makes 3 million in earnings and another 10 mil in endorsements or so every year on the pga tour while comfortably making majors.

So 13 million a year with your lane to majors wide open then going on liv to make (you tell me what he will make) to have your major lane made extremely more difficult

So you missed my point completely. Min Woo Lee missed the cut in three majors this year. Safe to say he isn't winning any majors. And like I said, he isn't making a legacy on the PGA Tour.

If MWL stays on the PGA Tour, in 15 years, nobody is going to remember him. If MWL joins LIV, in 15 years, nobody is going to remember him. But he will be much much richer.

It's a no brainer.

You keep talking about endorsements like it's exclusive to LIV. The players can still get their endorsements on LIV. You're just being purposefully obtuse with this, and also ignoring team money.

I think it’s ludicrous to say it’s “a no brainer” for someone who is 28 to give up pretty much their entire career of playing in majors

When you consider the money, it certainly is.

Two ball speed imposters, good riddance.

I'm doubtful MWL ever wins anything of substance, but he's extremely popular and marketable

Potgieter is still so young it's hard to count him out, but the short game needs tons of work before he's ready to compete with the top guys. The driver is a special weapon though. He'll always compete at the boring bomb and gouge set ups

Yep, you have to be the best to make the big money. That's they way it should be I think.

The average NFL salary is $3.2M, median salary is $860,000. with hundreds of players making over $10M per year. People never complain about salary disparities in the NFL for some reason.

Golf is a differently ran sport. You make what you earn.
