Today a few friends and I went to play a round at Carter Plantation. After warming up my friend asked us if we HD any advil, because his head was all of a sudden hurting. He was sitting in the cart about to take the advil and started sliding out of the golf cart. The next minute we look over he was laying on the ground puking. Turns out he had a massive stroke and needed emergency brain surgery to survive. We are all relatively young, and the possibility of a stroke hadn't crossed our minds. I tell you this as a challenge to read up on the signs of a stroke because you never know when you may be faced with it.

Damn, hasn’t even made it to the tee box and he’s facing a stroke deficit

Glad to hear he is going to be okay. Do you know exactly what he had?

I say this to everybody after a close call a few years back.

Listen to you body! Go to the doctor if something doesn’t feel normal. This goes especially for headaches.

I’m playing there today, sure hope that doesn’t happen to me or my dad.

Just make sure to take a few extra practice strokes on the range

Hope your friend pulls through. If he does hit him with the “that isn’t what we meant about you getting strokes”

Thought this was going to be about a fight, or someone did donuts on the fairway or something.
