I'm a bad golfer, usually low 90s or high 80s. I hit a hole in one at #1 at City Park in BR. Hit the front of the green, took a giant hop, hit the flagstick up high and rode it all the way into the hole. About 15 witnesses since it was stacked up on 1. Received an official certificate and everything.

A hole in one is really only one lucky shot so yes, any schmuck could conceivably do it.
Not only that, but the chances go up as one ages, and as one tends to be female.

I fricking blow and I got one. It wasn’t very pretty either.

Hole 5 at the point course at Atascocita golf club. There’s a ditch in front of a green and I was tired of being in and my 4 hybrid was decent that day so I used it even though I probably should put it on 1960 (the road behind the green) if I hit it right but let’s be honest that doesn’t happen often, especially not back then. I hit sort of a line drive that bounced off a hill, kicked right, and rolled in the hole.

Played it a few times. Never a hole in one though.

My only claim to this milestone was out at Chambers County in Anahuac. I think it is 16. About a 160 yard Par 3. I was actually playing like dogshite but hit a decent 8 iron right at the pin. I was like, damn that has a chance and low and behold, boom. First and only one.

I was a high school individual state champion, played in college and was a member of the PGA for a while.

Ive never made one.

I made an albatross, but never a hole in one.

Meanwhile, my dad is a 10 handicap and has 7.

He reminds me of this about every time we play.

I’ve had a hole in one. I am not an accomplished golfer.

I've played golf for 40 years and don't have an ace yet. And I've never made an eagle putt. My 2 eagles were chip-ins.

Thought I was going to get the ace on #7 at Pelican Point last week. Ball came to a rest 1 foot to the right of the cup

Same. Playing for 47 years.
No aces. ONE hole in par.
(par 3. first one in the water. next one in the hole)

Several eagles. Some chipping/approach in and some putting.

Closest I have come ...

It was tracking. Just needed another spoonful of Wheeties.

I have more eagles on 4s than 5s.

I don't know that I've ever made an eagle on a par 4. I've made on for par after hitting it in the water.

I've made 1 hole in one and several eagles. Playing from the regular tees there's not many par 5s that aren't reachable so I don't really find them super impressive to be honest.

The Wanamaker Course at PGA Village in Port St Lucie, FL.
Highly recommend.

Mine was at Stonebridge in Bossier, #6 on the front. Not the tips, but the blues. Solid drive, 185 yards out and hit a 6 iron fade that landed about 5 feet short and left. Checked up nice and just dropped in. Felt so dang good.

I don't guess I'd trade that for a hole in one but it's annoying I haven't made one. I've watched two of them from playing partners, one of them like I said earlier, was with a putter.

I have holed out from the fairway 6 times (one of them being an albatross), but no hole in one. It’s annoying. With my luck, I’ll finally get one where I hook it into a tree and it ricochets into the hole.

I don't want one if this is how it happens.
