Or Vineyard Vines, low key best golf shirt.

JT is a sneaker head, could see him taking a pay cut to get into the Nike circle.

Nike is as bad as the rest in terms of SJW. No one will touch him this year. He will either go back to Polo next year or sign with someone other than Nike. Imo.

Maybe polo is looking to dump that line. That can’t be a very big seller for them. I don’t think Tom Watson can really carry the brand. Maybe they just wanted to dump that JT money and saw their chance.
Would be alpha AF for JT to come out in a different muted color (different color every day), same color hat, shirt, pants...just asking who wants your name here?

The kid immediately apologizes...and it was a sincere apology....and RLP still dumps him.

Seems to me that RLP was trigger happy and looking for a reason. They basically said the apology was bullshite.

I blame NBC and TGC as well...the way overplayed the matter and made it an issue.

If this teaches you only one thing....in today’s environment, never ever apologize for anything.

RL was down almost 40% YoY for same store sales. JT was an expensive contract. Golf is a small division of theirs.

Not a hard call from their perspective. They off-loaded an expensive marketing asset without much prospective financial pushback. Their approach would’ve been different if they were up 10% this year.

JT will be fine.

All of RL's clothes are manufactured in countries where it's a crime to be a gay ROTFLMAO

Ralph Lauren was looking for a reason to get out that contract. Their stuff is ugly and no one wears it on a golf course. They could have tiger looking like he’s on a sailboat in Nantucket and people still wouldn’t wear that shite on the course.

I used to wear tons of Polo as a young mam, I quit when they started catering to the big horse crowd, that shite was so dumb. They would order tons of it for the shelf and it would all wind up on the clearance racks, unless it got stolen of course.

2003-2010 Polo was all I wore. Only have a few button ups in the closet now. No polos.

I think he goes with Greyson or Dunning here soon if they can swing the Bill. If someone was smart, they’d give him a chunk of their company for the mutually benefit.

I haven’t found a collared shirt to play golf in quite as good as the Polo performance shirt that is like the UA material.

I am a big/tall guy and I have had great luck with the Monterrey Club Shirts. They don't shrink, great at wicking and they keep their color.

I expect UA to make a run at him. With spieth struggling they could use another big name.

Never Apologize

Citi will only allow JT to keep his deal if he donates it to LQTBQ causes and "is sincere" about it

I'd dump that absolute dog of a bank and go sign a deal with GS or MS.

i wonder what they consider a meaningful amount of their contract? 5%? 10%? 20%? what is a meaningful amount and why would he be ok with that? I would take the hit, let them drop me and this shite will blow over in 6 months and go sign with someone else.
