Yes, but last I saw it was quite ready. It be NOLA's bad luck to have that place be almost finished and the plug gets pulled.
Dont forget Govenrer Water Boy paid millions to LIV to get them to come. Good luck getting that back

I’ll be annoyed if they kill it before the Nola event.

We’ll just see. That’s not quite a rousing “everything is fine” post. It basically just says no one has been officially told anything yet.

Which may mean nothing is happening and this is all a big rumor, or just that the decision hasn’t officially been made yet, which is actually consistent with what the rumors were last night.

Rory is going to win The Masters and see LIV die in a weeks time. He must be elated.

I wouldn’t be shocked if this a rumor started by LIV so they can come out and say “we are stronger than ever!!!!! Yahoo!!”

This is the only significant post I’ve seen & I have no idea what it means…. Reading between the lines, I would assume this is cutting funding for LIV but I haven’t seen that

If LIV funding is cut it basically ends it. They aren’t close to being self sufficient and they have massive payments due every single month

This feels like all of those LIV rumors about players leaving but the exact opposite in that it's anti-LIV. It would be odd to just shut down in the middle of the season.

If this is true, Rahm and Bryson turning down the one-time return offer from the PGA Tour just got more interesting.

I agree it seems crazy but if they lose PIF it’s pretty much instant lights out

Yeah I agree for two reasons. One it’s hard to believe they don’t have enough money in reserve to finish out the season even if the Saudi direct spigot shuts off. That’s wild if true (at just how untethered to economic reality they are).

Secondly it’s hard to imagine PIF leaving Yasir that out to dry and with egg on his face. Feels like they would at least let him wrap up this year and end things with some dignity and able to put a better spin on it.

They def don’t have a reserve of money outside of PIF. But I do ageee about the Yasir embarrassment part

I would imagine they are losing close to 10s of millions a month between all expenses and payouts

I’m assuming this was just the rumor going around about “something big” coming out & golf Twitter ran with it. I guess the “something big” was just the PIF five year strategy?

I was expecting something about a merger with DP Tour but this might actually be a nothing burger. Really strange with LIV changing up their media schedule/press conferences though

Maybe there is more to come or something “significant” in the details of their five year strategy

Highlighted in the 5 year strategy was they would only be investing in is torments in which they expect a return on investment going forward

Does that sound like LIV?

something significant is definitely going on in NY. Seems like some type of merger is the only possibility

Telegraph Sport has since learned there was not a single executive present on the same day at the Club de Golf Chapultepec, the Mexico City venue where the sixth tournament of the league is taking place, and that they were all summoned to what was described as "an emergency summit" in Manhattan. The reason for the meeting remains unclear.

Telegraph Sport contacted several LIV players on Wednesday morning and they all insisted it was business as usual as they went about their preparations. One of these golfers said: "I'll be honest. None of the players have heard anything. It's hopefully a merger. Everyone gathers at Augusta don't they?"

Indeed, LIV chief executive Scott O'Neil was seen at the Georgia major last week, as were other executives. In 2023, the Saudi Public Investment Fund and the PGA Tour famously signed "a framework agreement".
