xbox live account ending

How do you know when your account is about to end? Is there any way to see how much more time you have, or does it give you some kind of warning? I know mine is fixing to expire but I would like to know before it does.

To the OP you can pull up your account on Live, go to Account Management, click Manage Account and there is a Tab titled Your Memberships. It has all the info there.

I would rather play online with people I know and they all have xbox so until they can afford to buy a ps3 im going to stick with xbox online.

How exactly does Live work? Do you have to buy minute packs to play any game online or is it just for 'extras'?

Flat monthly fee to cover all online games, as well as the growing list of extras

I get an email when mine will expire. You can also check your account on the dashboard.

There is nothing wrong with the Playstation Network, it's free, the store is nice, plenty of content, etc. Unfortunately the only negative is that it is a sign that you are poor.
Xbox Live users do not have this problem and can afford the finer things in life.
