This has been a piss poor gaming year

Literally nothing has come out that looks worth playing. Sad

To me, it is far better than last year. Send by the end of the summer will be one of the best ever. Maybe your favorite companies that dint have much right now are getting ready for next gen.

FF7 remake was a good release but you have to be in the mood for a ton of story
Mount and blade 2 is my favorite game so far this year

That depends on what type of games you are looking for. FPS, Sports, RPG, Fantasy, etc...

It's been OK depending on what you're looking for. Things are about to pickup big time once TLOU 2 releases.
Meanwhile, I haven't taken out my Rainbow Six Siege disc out of my PS4 since 12/1/15.

I’ve been enjoying Valorant

animal crossing seems to have done well

Warzone (biggest game since fortnite?)
FF7 Remake (hated it but people like it)
Doom Eternal
Animal Crossing
Resident Evil 3
Valorant
Upcoming
TLOU2 (could be a disaster)
Ghost of Tsushima
Cyperpunk
Seems to be an okay year IMO. Especially with a Gen Launch.
Somebody makes this post every year though.

I know, I know. Bruce Jenner is in it. But it's still a big title coming out followed by Ghost of Tsushima, Cyberpunk 2077 and AC: Valhalla to end the year.
You can downvote TLOU 2 all you want, but the game itself (minus all the BS) will still be impressive af.

Cyberpunk is going to be absolutely incredible

FWIW, I wasn’t the one who downvoted lol. I’m not a huge fan of the franchise anyways, but I’d never hope for a game to be shitty. Hopefully things aren’t as bad as what we’ve read.

I’m treading water with dark souls until cyberpunk comes out. Can’t frickin wait. I hate that it’s coming out right at the start of football season though. I get almost no gaming done during football season

I'll add Flight Sim 2020 to that list, assuming it makes it out this year. It looks incredible.

still waiting on Rocksteady to say what they've secretly been working on for 5 years

Just waiting on cyberpunk. If it gets delayed again I will die internally.

Yes, but Cyberpunk 2077 is coming out later.

Piss poor isn't the right phrase, but it has been overall disappointing IMO. My expectations were pretty high.
Doom Eternal was great but not quite as good as I was expecting.
Same story with RE3, good, but not great.
Nioh 2 was a serviceable quality sequel to Nioh, but nothing special.
I'm 100% positive Cyberpunk will blow everyone away. The only x-factor there is technical issues. The game itself will be great, if anything sinks it, it could be technical issues at launch.
Nothing more needs to be said about TLOU2. If you're generally confused and angry about your sexuality and gender you'll probably love it, other than that probably not.
Ghosts of Tsushima looks extremely promising.
Cuphead's DLC is also supposed to come out later this year as well.

I agree. I've already just preordered Death Stranding for PC ($47.99 at GMG) and Cyberpunk 2077 (today - a year after I put it on my Steam wishlist). Had some Steam wallet funds from a refund and just decided to spend them. Have been playing Sea of Thieves on Steam which I picked up on June 3 (launch) and have actually had a BLAST with that game. Also got Ori and the Will of the Wisps since I loved the first game so much. And got the whole Crysis series since 3 just came to Steam.
