It needs to be nighttime to find her. Also, I thought you had to move the grave, but you have to hit it with a sword. As for the people. During the day, every person in town brings up the girl.

I may have lucked into having an easy time with him. It's all bombs then sword to the eyeball. If I needed a breather, I'd sprint to the top to refill hearts and bombs. Also, yeah, at the end, just let him walk over you until he gets past you and does the roll back down. Avoid his roll, then bomb him as he's sucking up air.

I finally started putting some time into this game.

Last night I got to the Ghirihim....god damn he's tough to beat. I've been playing in handheld mode which hasn't been a problem to this point. But to beat him you need more stability and consistency and quickness with swinging the sword, and the little joysticks with the wide grip required for handheld mode is making it really difficult to do what needs to be done to be him/her.

Tonight I'll dock to the TV and try with the pro controller.

if it the one where he grabs your sword I had trouble before I realized i need to turn motion controls off in settings, and use the little joystick to stab and slash.

IIRC: I just kind went to town until i caught him off for a split second and you'll hear that tuba sound you got him.

I've been using button/joystick controls the entire time. my issue was trying to fight him while undocked and playing the switch in handheld mode. I docked the system, used the pro controller, and beat him on the first attempt.

With the wide grip hand positioning plus what feels like a smaller and flimsier right joystick, I had trouble swinging fast enough to "go to town" on him. Pro controller instantly solved that issue for me.

On to the next one.

I need someone else to get to the first spirit world trial. I need to know if I am being a weenie or if it really was that terrifying.

I took a break. I am starting play again tonight. I will let you know. I am still on flame monsterball Scaldera

A reminder to others behind or ahead of me-- always check for the red ex on the map. there was a crack in a wall I would have never ever seen that needed bombed to roll on the ball to.

The amount of padding in this game is insane

It's like the DA2 of The Zelda series. Like they had about 30-40% of the assets finished, but spent so much time designing the motion controls that they ran outa time so they just made the whole game based on what they had.

Okay, just now getting back into it. Scalderno fireball was easy once you his patterns.

3 bombs, slash times three, then on the other end of the hall (which is hard because of flipping camera towards him) 3 more bombs & 3 more good sword slashings.

moved on to the next area. The yellow beam.

I just got to the first one. I died twice. It is extra creepy. You aren't a weenie.

BTW when you get stuck this guy that does bong hits while he is playing; is a good walk through cheat video when you are stuck.

Yeah, I followed a walkthrough video for that one and the next one. Didn't feel like having that anxiety while I looked for spirit orbs.

I passed it after no walk through for it. The first one grab it quick and then go up the stairs and get 2 more then the rest are easy.

When they are chasing you it is a freaking nightmare.

I missed the chest in the outskirts of the three bridges in the huge cloud that vid showed me. I also got the formula to line up the 3 bridges no way was I sitting there for hours.

Also did you know if you ring the beetle bell in skyloft and go up and sleep until night in his bed you go to a cool place with a chest?

I am enjoying the game more than I anticipated based on reviews. It is not earth shattering but it is definitely sufficient if you need your zelda fix. It is definitely a good holdover release to get you to the next installment in the breath of the wild series. If this is the worst Zelda game the console versions have to offer than I am pretty excited to get some other installments of the franchise on switch

Well put. That's exactly how I feel. It won't get me to BOTW2 (I believe I'm in the second to last dungeon), but it is definitely feeding my Zelda fix.

I am nearing the end as well. I am at the passing the target flying test to go in the thundercloud and meet someone.

I must say I enjoyed the game. I had never played it before.

That's the last thing I did. Haven't had a chance to pick it up in a few days. I like the progression of the Master sword. It's fun seeing how quickly I can dispatch a blue Bokoblin now.

I am anxious to use the master sword. slicing that beasts toes off was fun.

I am stuck trying to fly through and break 10 targets of all places.

I am starting to understand the complaint that the game makes you retrace your steps too much. Having to fight the avocado looking Imprisoned 3 times got old. I understand there was a slight change each time, but it was still tedious. Now, I've had to return to the Faron Woods for the 3rd time. Again, they changed things up (I won't spoil what happens), but it's still stale.

They give Link the ability to fly in this game, yet you still can only venture to 3 regions of Hyrule.

ETA:

After typing that complaint, I realized my second favorite Zelda kind of does the exact thing. In OOT you return to the woods twice, Death Mountain twice, Lake Hylia twice, and the Gerudo area twice. However, that did not feel stale. So, I guess my complaint isn't having to return to these areas but that they have done a poor job of making it feel exciting.

So I been playing while staying with my folks (buying a house up here). Been playing on the tv in the living room while mom sits on the couch playing crosswords and sudoku on her iPad.

Even mom is yelling at Fi now

I think I've hit the wall with this game. When I realized I had to do a 4th Spirit World challenge, and it was already 11 pm, I turned the game off. That was 2 weeks ago. I haven't had the energy to pick it back up.
