Unless you have Sidon's ability active. Then, bombs away.

OK, help me out...which material is #243 in the compendium? It's the only pic I'm missing and even the thing you buy them from says it doesn't have any more pictures. Driving me nuts
nvm...it's a sun pumpkin from the hippie fishing village.

Man the cut scene that plays every time a Blood Moon happens is very annoying. I get playing it for the first BM so a new player is aware of what it means, but man so annoying seeing that BM come and just having to stop whatever you are doing to prepare to skip the cutscene lol.

I've done practically no cataloguing of the photos

I feel the same way. As soon as I hear the music and see the gloom looking stuff come out of the ground, I start thinking "shite, find a fire to sit by or I'll have to mash + to get out of this". Although, I think someone mentioned earlier in the thread that this is basically a cutscene for a data load since all the dead bad guys have to be put back in the game.

the repetition with cut scenes and dialogue in this game is my only real gripe. Other than the blood moon, the biggest instance of this being when everytime you clear a regional temple/boss, the same story about the imprisoning war is replayed with slight differences based on the perspective of the sage.

Is it me or do the blood moons seem to happen more often that botw?

Assuming "normal" play, the Blood Moons should be occurring with the same frequency in each game (I believe it's seven in-game days).
It is known that under the hood the Blood Moon events clear up some RAM on the Switch to avoid issues with memory that could potentially screw with the game, and it's also known that this can be exploited to certain degrees (mostly involving stacking collisions and/or fast-traveling very rapidly, which will prompt the game to run a BM off-schedule, solely and specifically to deal with memory issues).
Given TotK's larger map and asset pack I would assume it requires more memory on average than BotW (while running on the same hardware). If you're playing in a way that you're pushing the memory limits (intentionally or not) then you might be triggering a BM ahead of schedule here and there.

I gotta question I’ll try to keep it non spoilery…
I just finished the last Tear memory. Super cool how this story is shaping up and it’s epic how we got the master sword back. I was just checking my adventure log and looks like I’m missing some memories.
Will those come with time in completing the game? I’m missing 1, 11, 14, and 16 now. Hopefully I didn’t miss something important that would have made the last memory even better.

I believe all of them will be unlocked if you continue to play through the main quest lines. It's possible to miss two of them if you don't visit important places from BotW, and one of them is part of a quest that doesn't become unlockable in a major village until after you keep doing what Purah tells you to do.

Press X then the + button. You can always end it within seconds.

Almost cleared the whole Depths map but the south central section is proving to be a motherfricker to get to the light roots.
Found some thing called the Spirit Temple that I can't interact with yet. I suppose I should suck it up and do the Gerudo regional/Lightning Temple and see where it takes me from there.

VoxDawg make sure you have plenty of stamina and Brightbloom Seeds, it'll make opening up The Depths a lot easier.

Is this harder than Breath of the Wild?

Riju is my new favorite sage, I wish I unlocked her sooner. Her ability is even better than yunobos at breaking rocks because she gets them all at once and they don't fly everywhere.
