What i'll need people to tell me is if they think people who hated the durability system in BotW would feel differently with this fuse system.

I think, like with most things, you'll be as pleased or disappointed as you decide to be.

I don't know much about the technical terms of gaming but were the shrines not considered dungeons?

In a technical sense, sure, but they were essentially side content except you needed the orbs for upgrades, and were very small and contained. Dungeons in the traditional Zelda game were huge and part of the main scenario quest, where you got the pieces of tri-force, for instance, you had to do all of them to get to the end of the game.

What is the exact title of the FF game?

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster.

It's revamped ports of FF 1-6, with modern creature comforts like retro pixelated font, quick save & the ability to turn random battles on/off on demand.

Back in 2007, I took off the week of the Burning Crusade launch. I totally feel you.

even though the game types are totally different, I'd very loosely liken them to the fortress levels of the Mario games at the end of every world.

That's not an unfair comparison.

Per IGN review:

quote:

This is an unfathomable sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, somehow improving upon it in nearly every way – be that with simple quality-of-life improvements, a genuinely exciting story, or wildly creative new building mechanics that make you rethink what is possible. It both revamps old ground and introduces vast new areas with an alarming number of tasks to complete, mysteries to discover, and delightful distractions to keep you from ever reaching that place you naively thought you were headed. Nintendo has followed up a triumph with a triumph, expanding and evolving a world that already felt full beyond expectation and raising the bar ever higher into the clouds.

Just watched the ign video review. Ya this definitely isn't an expansion. So much more to explore and figure out.

My only concern is they mentioned the stories will be scattered throughout like in botw. I was hoping the mainline story would be more straightforward this time.

According to reviews, they aren't real dungeons fwiw. Just more divine beast shite where you use your doodad in 5 different places

Oh well. I like dungeons but it’s not a huge deal to me. I enjoyed the divine beast puzzles.

Well that's unfortunate. Was excited by the idea of more traditional dungeons.

Sounds like they are still emphasizing the open world concept.

I've watched a few review videos today while on calls and it's looking better and better.

Id shy away from the Gamespot video review tho, he gives away too much in regards to the dungeons and the story. Its almost too spoilery.

yeah same here. I think BOTW and TotK are cool concepts and something fresh for Zelda, but I'd like it if they went back to a more traditional structure for the next game. Maybe then I'll get a Switch and play them all lol

Same. I'm sure this will be great and I'm certain I'll play it at some point, but honestly I'd be more hype about the eventual Wind Waker/Twilight Princess remasters.
