This might be the dumbest reason to not play a video game.
Pretty extreme to say that when sooo much of gaming now and the critique of games is built around graphics and art style

the backwards nintendo controls in general are causing me pain, constantly hitting the wrong button

have you tried remapping the controls more to your liking?

Remapping the entire Switch just to get desired control in one game is overkill. Why on earth wouldn't they let you remap in game?
ETA - FOUND IT!
You want Options > Swap Jump Controls
"Assign jump to B, and dash and other actions to X"

The frog armor is a much needed game changer.
Also, one minor complaint is they didn't really do anything to cooking other than the menu cards and seasonal attacking buffs. I was hoping they'd make you cook actual meals to get buffs, but nope just throw 5 peppers in the pot and you got 12 minutes of heat resistance.

Is this game what’s made out to be? I don’t doubt they pulled it off with but mostly reused assets and from what I’ve told the dungeons aren’t truly Zelda dungeons just redesigned divine beast that are a bit bigger after the first. I mean even if it’s breath of the wild just again I’d get to it eventually but I wanna get some opinions not from sponsored YouTubers or game journosz I could pick it up today and have till FF16 on the 22nd for it

While on the topic of cooking and recipes, not sure if anyone missed it in botw, but in this game too if you cook right before a blood moon hits (11:30pm - 12) it will the double the hearts recovered by the recipe, double the time of effects, etc. For example one cooked apple heals 2 hearts.

It actually reminds me of those old school laser disc games that I was too poor to play.

You play a game for gameplay.
If the gameplay kicks arse who gives a shite.

Finished off the last of the 4 temples.
Decided to go ahead and knock out the geoglyphs/tears questline since I had plenty of shrines/towers unlocked and traversal is relatively easy now.
The final few cutscenes/memories you unlock are pretty intense.

Damn I didn't realize auto build uses zonite until I rebuilt an extravagant (and unnecessary) vehicle and saw it took like 30 zonites. shite I would've just built it myself had I paid attention.

She says she gives it to you a piece at a time, but how many stable quests do you have to clear before you get the first piece?

i finally got up to her today, i've just been looking for towers and shrines to get around. need to go backtrack for some of those stables to get some of that gear because im sick of slipping climbing

For now I have been catching frogs in caves to make non slip potion.
How about I was stuck up on the water shrine route. I came to the final platforms. I forgot to change outfits to the swimming one because I had just came from needing the keep warm outfit.
As soon as I switched outfits I swam up. This mini boss sucks I wish I could go back and get the electricity fuse attachment I lost.
All weapons broke fighting on the way up and in the water trials.

In the underground. I built the flyer with two attached sets of wheels (8 wheels) two fans and the fire fuser. Is it worth using to get past the giant going West?

I need to suck it up and just finish the stables quest and get the whole suit. The slipping mechanic is driving me insane.
