Samsung and Intel cancel plans to build advanced semiconductor plants in U.S.
Posted by BabaLooey on 3/10/24 at 7:40 am
'Biden's DEI rules are worse than HAMAS': Top microchip makers are postponing US expansion and instead expanding in dangerous Israel and Russia because American grants come with so many 'equity' caveats.
It also calls on chipmakers to 'increase the participation of economically disadvantaged individuals in the semiconductor workforce.'
The two added: 'In short, the world’s best chipmakers are tired of being pawns in the CHIPS Act’s political games.
'They’ve quietly given up on America. Intel must know the coming grants are election-year stunts — mere statements of intent that will not be followed up.
They add: 'This is the stuff declining empires are made of. As America pursues national security by building a diverse workforce, China does it by building warships.
'Instead of solving the problem, the people in charge are trying to cover the problem up just long enough to win reelection.
'Don’t be fooled by the Biden administration’s upcoming weekend-at-Bernie’s act — the CHIPS Act is dead.'

Hollywood hottie Jennifer Love Hewitt wants people to stop obsessing over her younger self
Jennifer Love Hewitt may still not know what happened last summer, but one thing she does know is that she doesn’t like people obsessing over her younger days when she labeled a Hollywood hottie.
The 44-year-old Brunette looker was known throughout the ’90s and 2000s, for starring in major hit television shows such as “Party of Five,” and films such as “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” “Can’t Hardly Wait” and “Heartbreakers,” which co-starred Gene Hackman and Sigourney Weaver.
She began her career as a child actress on commercials and appeared in on the Disney Channel on “Kids Incorporated.”
Hewitt said on a recent podcast she’s tired of people comparing her current looks to how she looked in her early 20s.
“She was a looker,” the Waco, Texas native said about her own body while interviewing on a recent podcast episode of the “Inside of You With Michael Rosenbaum.”
“But also that 23 and 25-year-old wasn’t in her body,” she explained. “I felt watched. I felt like I had to be everything for everybody all the time. I was called sexy before I ever knew what being sexy was. I was 17 years old on the cover of Maxim, and I had no idea why.”

Very unlikely due to the fact that most other currencies no one wants.
Chinese currency is a joke. Even they don't want it.

Who changed the races of characters in Tolkiens world, and why. Let's start there.
"It began with the forging of the great films. Threads were given by Tolkien, immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings. Rights were granted to Jackson, great miner and craftsman of the mountain of lore. And nine, nine hours were gifted to the race of men who above all else desire quality. But they were all of them deceived, for another show was made. In the land of Amazon, in the fires of Mount Prime, the Dark Lord Bezos forged a master flop. And into this show he poured his money, his greed, and his will to dominate all film. One show to ruin them all."

Cornyn, Other Republicans Push For Biden Administration To Expand CRT
Posted by BabaLooey on 6/24/22 at 3:34 pm
If you're keeping an eye on what Sen. John Cornyn has in store for your Second Amendment rights, you might want to watch his other hand. He has just recently reintroduced the Civics Secures Democracy Act, which would enable the federal government to impose critical race theory (CRT) that is, state-sanctioned racism and anti-Americanism on public school civics courses via federal grants.
Of course, the drafters of the bill are too politically savvy to explicitly endorse critical race theory. Instead, the legislation provides for $6 billion in federal grants to states, nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education, and researchers to improve civics and American history education primarily for "traditionally underserved students" (sections 102-106). The bill makes clear that grant applications must demonstrate how the applicant intends to prioritize the education of such students.
As explained in detail by Stanley Kurtz at the Ethics and Public Policy Center (see here and here), this anodyne-sounding terminology masks a deeply partisan agenda an agenda that parents are fighting across the country. Kurtz reports that while the re-introduced bill removes a previous iteration's problematic references to "action civics" (leftist political agitation for course credit), its central focus on "underserved" students is key to how the Biden Department of Education will implement it.

Beware | The Federal Reconciliation Agency
Posted by BabaLooey on 2/17/22 at 8:06 am
How long before the Constitution is discarded?
House Democrats have introduced a bill that would, if passed, declare an "unconditional war on racism" while establishing the "Department of Reconciliation" as a new federal agency.
"Declaring unconditional war on racism and invidious discrimination and providing for the establishment of a Cabinet-level Department of Reconciliation charged with eliminating racism and invidious discrimination," reads a summary of the bill, which was introduced on February 9th.
Over 30 House Democrats have signed onto the bill, with key co-sponsors including Congressman Ilhan Omar, Maxine Waters, Rashida Tlaib, and January 6th Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson. The bill has now been referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.
The document makes several claims that the U.S. continues to uphold institutionalized racism before outlining potential remedies:
"Whereas racism and invidious discriminationlike poverty in 1964remain pervasive in our country; Whereas history is replete with examples of victims of racism and invidious discrimination being denied life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; Whereas systemic and institutionalized racism and invidious discrimination exist in virtually all areas of American life, including policing, criminal justice, housing, banking, voting, employment, education, the environment, and health care…"
The bill also invokes the death of George Floyd, claiming the event was a clear indication that it has become necessary for Congress to take decisive, immediate and long-term legislative action to address the elimination of racism and invidious discrimination."
In response, the bill outlines three actions to be taken by the House of Representatives, including condemning "racism and invidious discrimination as evil and antithetical to the United States Constitution."
If passed, the House of Representatives would also "declare unconditional war on racism and invidious discrimination in America and will provide the resources and funding for their defeat."
The bill calls for the establishment of a Cabinet-level Department of Reconciliation "charged with ending racism and invidious discrimination, developing and coordinating the implementation of a comprehensive national strategy to eliminate racism and invidious discrimination."
The agency's budget would be at least 10 percent of the Defense Department's budget, which stands at roughly $715 billion.
The proposal appears to heed "anti-racist" activist Ibram X. Kendi's demands for the creation of a Department of Anti-Racism (DOA).
"The DOA would be responsible for preclearing all local, state and federal public policies to ensure they won't yield racial inequity, monitor those policies, investigate private racist policies when racial inequity surfaces, and monitor public officials for expressions of racist ideas. The DOA would be empowered with disciplinary tools to wield over and against policymakers and public officials who do not voluntarily change their racist policy and ideas," explains the far-left activist.

Salvation Army's Internal Survey Suggests Only Whites Are Racist
Posted by BabaLooey on 12/16/21 at 8:22 am
One Salvation Army officer reached out on condition of anonymity to Color Us United, the raceblind advocacy organization which I run, to reveal an internal survey he was asked to take. It was not a voluntary survey, and was sent by the Territorial Diversity and Inclusion Secretary to every Salvation Army Officer in the US Central Territory. The purpose of the survey, according to an email from the "Territorial Racial Diversity and Inclusion Secretary," was "to better understand perception of institutional racial bias within The Salvation Army." The accompanying email stated that there was no "preconceived idea" with regard to whether or not racism existed in The Salvation Army, and told recipients that there were no wrong answers.
I sat down and went through the questions.
First, Questions #1, #2, and #3 asked me for my race, age, and gender. I could not skip these questions. Already, I felt uncomfortable being required to list my personal attributes. If I was an officer, I would be wondering: how could this information be used against me in the future? (They did promise anonymity in this survey.)
The survey then asks Salvationists if they agree with the following definition of racism: "Institutional racism refers to organizational or system processes, behaviors, policies, or procedures, which produce negative outcomes for nonwhites relative to those for whites." The remaining questions in the survey are dependent upon agreeing to this definition of racism. For any Officer or Soldier who disagrees with this framing, there is no way to express any disagreement or nuance apart from plainly saying that racism does not exist.
Going through the survey, it became apparent that the survey was attempting to lead me to making only one conclusion about The Salvation Army that it harbored problematic racism.
This belief is one of the core tenets of critical race theory. Critical race theorists teach that racism is ubiquitous in all aspects of American life. They also teach that it works systemically; that is, by being ingrained in the systems and institutions that operate in society. Their primary evidence of the system being racist is the reality that individuals from different demographics have different life outcomes on average, without taking into account any variables that might impact said life outcomes apart from the color of their skin. All of these concepts are reflected in The Salvation Army's survey.

Salvation Army issues alert, donations have dropped substantially
Posted by BabaLooey on 12/15/21 at 2:59 pm
“There are many reasons why both financial and toy donations are down this year, not the least of which is likely pandemic fatigue and concerns about employment and the future,” said Colonel Cindy Foley of the NW Salvation Army Division. “We are actually trying to provide food, shelter, toys and clothing to double the number of families we served last Christmas, and in the midst of the growing need we are seeing fewer people donating at our virtual and physical kettles.”
Not only is the nonprofit organization short on donations, they also are in desperate need of bell ringers to staff the red kettles seen at businesses around the country.
“The situation is dire, and we are asking our generous supporters in the region to donate to the virtual Northwest Red Kettle as well as make donations at every physical kettle in whatever way you can.”

Make A Wish Foundation turns down Unvaccinated child
Posted by BabaLooey on 12/12/21 at 9:53 am
They have not lifted the vaccine mandate for Wishes that involve air travel or large gatherings. If the child’s Wish is to go to Disneyland, for example, then it would be denied if the child is unvaccinated.
Read the last paragraph of the Foundation’s statement: “Our decision to lift restrictions on wishes involving air travel and large gatherings for children and families ‘who are vaccinated’ is the first step of our phased reemergence plan and is based on advice from pediatricians and other medical professionals on our National Medical Advisory Council, as well as guidance from public health organizations like the CDC and American Academy of Pediatrics. We look forward to the day when we can lift all pandemic-related restrictions.”

Chief Justice John Roberts warns Supreme Court over Texas abortion law
Posted by BabaLooey on 12/11/21 at 5:10 am
I think the traitor is worried.
Roberts joined the high court’s three liberal justices in discussing the constitutionality of the Texas abortion law.
WASHINGTON — The chief justice of the United States, John Roberts, warned Friday that the Supreme Court risks losing its own authority if it allows states to circumvent the courts as Texas did with its near-total abortion ban.
In a strongly worded opinion joined by the high court’s three liberal justices, Roberts wrote that the "clear purpose and actual effect" of the Texas law was "to nullify this Court’s rulings." That, he said, undermines the Constitution and the fundamental role of the Supreme Court and the court system as a whole.
The opinion was a remarkable plea by the chief justice to his colleagues on the court to resist the efforts by right-wing lawmakers to get around court decisions they dislike, in this case Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that made abortion legal in the United States, within limits. But in this case, his urgent request was largely ignored by the other justices on the court who were appointed by Republicans.

General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler will not require Vaccination
Posted by BabaLooey on 11/26/21 at 11:33 am
But what about the extreme emergency that the Biden admin is spewing for OSHA to protect workers?
It would seem impossible to win this case with all the "exceptions".
General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler announced Wednesday they will withhold Vaccine mandates for thousands of employees, but will require on-site masking after negotiations with the UAW, according to a joint statement.
The declaration also encourages unionized workers to report their vaccination status at their own discretion but does not require it. "The Task Force continues to urge all members, coworkers, and their families to get vaccinated and get booster vaccinations against COVID, while understanding that there are personal reasons that may prevent some members from being vaccinated, such as health issues or religious beliefs," the statement read.

Salvation Army wants white donors to offer a "sincere apology" for their racism
Posted by BabaLooey on 11/24/21 at 12:08 pm
Never again
"The Salvation Army wants its white donors to give it more than just money this Christmas season. Its leadership is also demanding they apologize for being racist.
It's part of a push by the Christian charitable organization to embrace the ideas of Black Lives Matter, an activist group working to, among other things, "dismantle white privilege" and "disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure."
"The Salvation Army's Alexandria-based leadership has created an "International Social Justice Commission" which has developed and released a "resource" to educate its white donors, volunteers and employees called Let's Talk about Racism. It asserts Christianity is institutionally racist, calling for white Christians to repent and offer "a sincere apology" to blacks for being "antagonistic.. to black people or the culture, values and interests of the black community."
