m enjoying Mario more than I am Zelda
I find this game is much more enjoyable in handheld mode than Zelda and Kart. Zelda is hard to see what is going on screen in handheld. Idk if you play more docked or handheld.

Would like OP to denote whether this thread is spoiler free or not in title or OP itself.

SPOILERS:
Has anyone been able to catch the big fish at the oasis in the Sand World? Either my timing is off, or I'm just not doing it right. But I've spent an hour trying to catch the damn thing, but it's just not working.

I have to say, after playing this for a few hours, I do think Cappy is probably the best sidekick since Midna. I don't know why, but he's just a charming character. Really, the whole game is impeccably charming as a whole. Nintendo has really outdone themselves.

I think you are over thinking it because it only took me a couple tries. I waited until it vibrated and hit Y. I didn't hit it right as it vibrates, but waited maybe a split second later.
After you do this successfully, shake the shite out of the controller.

Yes, I eventually got him. For whatever reason it was just way difficult for me.

Finally just sat down to play man. The opening shot when you pan down and it's 3d and you're on a hill not flat ground got me way too excited.
Mario going Captain Ginyu on that frog was a cool acid trip.

HOLY FREAKIN' COW!!! I just got to the Sand Kingdom... this game is the most amazing game I think I have ever played.
Side Note: I'm a huge Mario / Platformer Fanboy, please take all my comments with a grain of sand
---- sand, get it?

That's pretty much how you have to treat every "review" in this thread.

I'm not biased nor am I a huge platformer fanboy. I enjoyed Mario 64 a lot and I find this game gives me that nostalgia I have been wanting in a mario game since 64. But it is so much more than nostalgia with Odyssey. Great game.

I made it through to finishing the sand world. After I decided to go back and clean up moons on the previous planets before moving further. Up to 44 moons.
The world design is great and I've been really enjoying the visuals. Focusing on being very thorough in each world before moving forward to the next to really get the full experience.

Same. Got 5 more left for the cascades and i'm like man i dont know how they can fit them all in this place. But they do it and they do it beautifully.
Only issue so far is that i have not been challenged yet outside of finding where the stars are. Getting them has been super easy but, its still early.

I'm at the Lost Island and have loved this game so far
The art style of the taxi cab, the dinosaur, and the humans are really jarring to me though when contrasted with normal Mario scenery
But crushing chain chomps with the T. rex was just fun

I’m at bowser’s homework’s final boss
Love this game. Flawless mario, but it’s really quick. I get a bunch of moons in each world until it starts to feel stale and move on
Not a long adventure. I know the post game is bonkers full of shite but I think they should have put more in the main game
Bosses are too easy even for mario

Seeing how it's hard to die a lot of the time and death only takes 10 coins, I don't see how anyone gets a game over on this game.

So I did a thing
ETA: fixed. No more creepy toes or feet!
