Actually did encounter a mission-stopping bug with the UC Vanguard mission Hostile Intelligence. The NPC stopped following and eventually you get to a door that cannot be opened without her. Restarted the quest from a save point and got the same issue. Google shows it’s a common issue but wasn’t addressed by patch today. Do yourselves a favor and save once you get the mission

I’ve done almost all of the main faction quests except Ryujin and haven’t had any issues. I’m on Xbox and haven’t encountered any bugs except for the Red Mile quest. That was frustrating.

had one of these where the guy was still coming at me through the door, so I set up shop and sniped his elbow every time it poked through..

I'm still very early. I am a hoarder by nature, so I constantly run into being over burdened.
It really saps my progress/enjoyment of the game, going back and forth with ship storage, partner storage, selling, etc.
Feels "worse" in that regard than the prior bethesda games.
What strategies do you use to deal with this? I'm thinking of some sort of "weight to value" ratio...if it's above some number, take it, if not, leave it.
I understand you can add storage to your ship and perks for carrying more but I'm not there yet.

I’m being the same way, unfortunately. Dump all of your resources in the lab in The Lodge. Keep your ship stocked with weapons and “aid” you may need. Keep your suits, packs, helmets and apparel in your room in The Lodge.

I tried pushing her but there is a loading screen door that cannot be crossed manually. I wanted to see how it ended before NG+ so I could do it differently. Reverted a save and hoping it gets fixed soon

I only keep one gun of each ammo ..you can sort them that way too..Give everything else to your companion or sell..
i finally, this am, settled down and built a hab since I don't need the money from selling anymore and I'm just going to put all the suits, guns, etc on display there

how bad is your hoarding?
are you literally picking up everything? if so stop. there is no point.
high value weapons, ammo, med kits and trauma packs, digipicks, and high value armor are the only things you really need to be picking up.
you dont need to pick up anything else. selling the weapons and armor will more than give you the creds you need in addition to finishing quests.
invest in the weightlifting perk early to help with exploring/killing missions so you don't encumber supper early on into it.

this..I got to the point where if it was less than 2500 I didn't even grab it..
ship storage is strictly for selling
storage at hab/outpost is for building that out
my guy is maxed because I'm always worried about ammo so I'm carrying 15 different weapons and poor companions are loaded with whatever

I mainly pick up resources, aid, weapons and ammo. If the suits, packs, and helmets aren’t worth a shite I leave them. But, I horde weapons pretty obsessively.

I have a cargo link question that one of you fine gents may be able to answer. Apologies if it's been discussed on one of the 40 pages
Can you link two outposts directly to each other with both ingoing and outgoing cargo or do you have to daisy chain with a third outpost?
I have two main outposts right now, outpost 1 and a mining outpost on a moon. I've linked the outgoing container on the mining outpost to outpost 1, but when I go to outpost 1 to link the outgoing to the mining moon, it doesn't show up on the console by the pad. Essentially, the mining outpost is sending resources to outpost 1, but getting nothing back from it.
ETA: they're all inter-system links so that shouldn't be the problem. I've read that it's a bug but it doesn't feel that way. Seems like I'm missing something

I don't think we've even covered the logistics of this game, and was thinking of starting a thread just to ask these questions..
i set up an outpost for the views and am just now starting to drill, etc and wondering what to do with it all

HDR Calibration Menu
I crashed to desktop last night, I was either just leaving the Lodge or grav-jumping. Had to redo the last 5 minutes on content (mainly getting another piece and doing some Lodge talk, but also getting level 20) but it was odd as it was extremely fast (no pause/freeze, no lag, no stuttering, just one second the game is running and the next I am at my desktop).
I'm running HDR, wonder if that has anything to do with it...

I'm down to keeping just a Cutter and my main firearm on me, the ammo for that firearm, my Mantis gear, digipicks and anything in the AID category (Notes and keycards don't have any weight that I remember). For AID, my mains that I will always pick up are the med and trauma packs.
Any other normal loot I will load onto Sarah or Vasco then dump them in the Lodge. Blues, purples or golds stay with me until I can sell them.

I've been around only since about a month or two prior to launch but I don't remember any out...posts (heh!)
I have a mission to provide nickel from an outpost to Jemison but every place I find with nickel has too harsh an environment for my newb-post.

Soooooo early on I hoarded a ton too, then when I started offloading I still wasn't getting enough space for the next adventure. Turns out some books weigh .50 which adds up fast. When I would open the notes section everything that showed first was 0.00 so I assumed everything was like a dummy.
Sorted by weight and yep, I had several. Hope that helps.

So I’ve heard a lot of things about NG+ and the story line and what should you do. I’ve found a spoiler free explanation that sums up what I’ve found to be the best explanation on a few different ways to play the game and why you may enjoy them.

Messed around with the ship builder for the first time today. Spent a good hour-hour and a half making a bad arse warship that I couldn't actually use because I can only make class A ships. I decided just to build a small ship until I level up piloting a bit more and somehow it turned into a platypus. I figure I'll be able to disable enemy ships just from making them laugh too hard.

How far should I go with the main storyline before doing my own thing?
