Made it to new Atlantis, did a lot of poking around in the world so went pretty slow. Love it so far, the space flying is a little clunky at first.

That's really the only thing I don't like so far. At least this far, I don't feel like I'm moving through space at all. Feels like my ship stays in place and the environment rotates around my ship.

Navigation is simple. Maybe a bit too simple. It's a space game. Do t be afraid to make me travel through space. You can pretty much cast travel across the universe though

True to this. That's one thing that No Man's Sky did well, you felt good zapping from planet to planet.

I didn't buy 2077 until the expansion and base game went on sale six weeks or so ago. I really enjoyed the main campaign.

My basic question (I only read through the last three pages of threads, but I know there have been two major patches since release,) is whether to buy it, or to wait until I need an (insert evil corp here) special on a card which gives it to me for free with a new card. New card will be under $350, or I'll just suffer and not buy the game for a year or two.

I have an 580+ that was perfectly sufficient for 2077. Maybe I like melee weapons because I can't see shite due to graphics settings?

That's because the planets are 2D images not 3D objects. LINK

It's like a Skyrim/Fallout mashup in space. There's no VATS but the modern items (ie computers, guns) give it a FO feel. It's got it's quirks but it definately scratches that itch. Combat feels pretty good, space not so much, but I don't give a shite about that. I get to steal everything that's not nailed down. Search out every nook and cranny for books and computers to read. Tell a small boy his parents are deader than shite. I like it.

ES/FO games are my favorite games, so I am very biased. Take my opinion with a grain of salt

Anybody buy the premium upgrade that allows game pass subs to get early access? I usually don't play the expansions on these types of games until way after launch so I'm not sure I want to spring for $100 steam game especially with college football starting this weekend

Also keep in mind 7/10 is not a bad score. it would be considered "good" not excellent. im not defending that score as i havent played yet, but i find it hilarious people get in a tizzy because something doesn't get a 10/10.

Fallout: New Vegas aggregated at a 7 at release, and it’s one of the best games ever made.

Gunplay is better than I thought it would be.

I only went through the first place they tell you to go to after you get your ship.

Spent waaaaaaaaaay too much time looking around for stuff. There is more useless shite highlighted and scattered in buildings in this game than any fallout game for sure.

I’m’a need you to rephrase this. I’m too tired to puzzle together what you’re asking here

Are PCers playing with KB&M or Controller? I played NMS with a controller because it made flying easier, but it didn't have gun play.

This may help you.

You Can Travel Between Planets, And Land, Without Opening The Map - Reddit

Overall, I'm loving this game so far. The biggest hiccup for me has been using the map, IDK why I'm having trouble figuring out how to go exactly where I want to go.

I've been a heavy Skyrim/FO4 player and this feels like a mashup between the 2 in space which is right up my alley. I plan on following the main story for a few missions to get a handle on everything then start branching out and get lost.

It has been running just fine on my laptop. 1440p high settings.

Not playing, but just as an fyi, most modern PC games will let you seamlessly switch back and forth. I know people who play games kb/m but have a controller sitting on their desk they grab when they jump into a vehicle.

A little. I figured the bounty hunters would drop cool loot and as a scoundrel I can make the adoring fan pay me. I’ll probably regret my choices. Still way too early to tell.

I'm holding off on this until I upgrade my PC, but how is the quest/story/dialogue so far?

I don't have high standards for combat with Bethesda games, they're decent enough to get by (I still put in 700hrs on FO4, with tons of mods of course), but I'm hoping they did a better job with quests and characters here than they did with FO4.
