Is zen 3 coming in September? I feel like the graphic cards are coming in September based on latest stuff and the zen 3 chips themselves may launch later like October or November. Would be a lot to launch big navi and zen 3 in the same month.
I mean these are just basically to give the finger to intel and if priced right certainly are worth the buy without knowing what zen 3 chips will cost/be until those come. In the end it's not really costing AMD to launch these chips as they are just better binned zen 2 parts basically which over time their yields have matured so they can clock the stuff a little higher now than launch last year. So basically why not stack the products somewhat like this, although this is more my dream of actual pricing.
3600 - $160 (right now Microcenter)
3600X - $200 (right now Microcenter)
3600XT - $220-$250 estimate
3700X - $270 (right now Microcenter)
3800X - $310 (right now Microcenter)
3800XT - $330-$350 estimate
3900X - $390 (right now Microcenter)
3900XT - $430-$450 estimate
3950X - $700 (right now Microcenter)

I'd imagine that it would be a month after announcing.
Nvidia and AMD are debuting the new GPUs in August now, so assume Sept actual release.
Debut of Zen 3 is September and release October.

years ago I bought a QNIX monitor from something like eBay based on the experience of other posters here. It was very affordable and has given me no issues. I'm in need of a new monitor, is that online store still out there? I lost whatever link I had.

Like I said, years ago. Probably like 2015
Sounds like that's dead, any other options for affordable monitors, or am I back to buying name brands I'd recognize?

What kind of monitor do you want/are you looking for?

Word is AMD has pushed Zen 3 to Jan 2021, which explains the refresh to fend off Intel until then and allows them to push it back.
And get this:
Zen 3 is 5nm+ full EUV node.
I have my extreme doubts about Zen 3 being 5nm, no roadmpa ever showed that. I would assume they already have been making a ton of zen 3 chip on 7nm to start building up inventory, I mean maybe it happens, but pushing out zen 3 in 5nm just seems so unlikely, even if pushed to Q1. If TSMC can only even start 5nm in Q4, how can they still launch zen 3 in like February and it be on 5nm? Wouldnt there probably be extreme shortages?
No doubt if AMD pulls that off though Intel is pretty much done in the DIY space for the time being. It's going to be a bloodbath of performance/price difference.

Did you put a fresh image of windows on it when you got it?
Posted on 5/30/20 at 2:48 pm to Devious
I’m clueless, but what would that do? Those errors appear to be for specific things, i.e. hardware failures and driver issues. I checked the drivers for some of the common offenders and everything seems up to date. Did chkdsk /r this morning and it spent like 7 minutes checking and repairing shite upon boot up
Just want to try and exhaust other options before I try anything major

just got IQRL error again. most people say its RAM related and suggested trying to isolate the bad one. Do I just pull these sticks out or do I have to do something else?
ETA: Took 2 of the 4 sticks out and have been playing since. No crashes so far

You need to run memtest with all 4 sticks in and then each pair of sticks separately.
Posted on 5/31/20 at 12:21 am to TigerRagAndrew
Played several hours with each pair of sticks. No BSOD
So weird

For lots of those windows bsod, at least for me, it's just easier to pop a new image of windows on there instead of spending hours troubleshooting to maybe fix the problem.
Also, if you're still having the issues after a fresh image, you know it's likely being caused by a hardware issue
