re: Official Pokemon GO Megathread

I use it for the neighborhood. Just in the last 2 hours picked up a Pikachu and an Arcanine. If the tracker was working, I'd have found them easily. Without it, I'd end up wandering around and hoping against hope I went down the right street. So, I got no problem using pokevision.

I'm hitting that point that I get trolled by the pokes who break out of 4 or 5 balls I toss at them, then run away. My ball supply is running low

I am going to try to avoid using it. There is typically a pokemon on every block here (finally caught a machop yesterday with 504 CP so can't wait to evolve him twice).

The one thing I haven't seen in the Ukraine yet is an Eevee. They were everywhere in Poland but I only caught enough to evolve 2 and they both became Flareons. I would like to get a Vaporeon and Jolteon before they do bump the candy requirements

I don't understand, every time I try and use Pokevision for where I am it says the city is bare, but I catch pokemon all the time?

Does it have to be logged by users?

ETA: I can't log in either. Is today Japanese launch day?

In case anyone missed this...the State Department had a briefing yesterday with the press and spokesman John Kirby (pictured) was speaking about the efforts to defeat ISIS. Well one media member (not named) was called out by the spokesman for playing Pokemon Go

I got water based Pokemon, including magikarp, in Phoenix/Scottsdale running next to a canal.

Note the time of when you saw it. Nearly all spawn points are every 60 minutes with the Pokemon up for 15 min

I went over to LSU last night to walk the lakes and get some water Pokemon. Ended up catching 10+ psyducks and a ton of magikarp, then I found a dragonair and ran out of poke balls........... Drove over to campus and you wouldn't believe how many pokestops there are. I hit well over 30 and had over 200 combined poke balls and great balls. Plus I went to the Bell Tower where there were 4 lures right next to each other and a ton of people playing, caught myself a Haunter, Meowth, and Electabuzz. Then went back to the lakes and caught 2 Dratinis. Also popped a lucky egg during the pokestops and evolved some Pokemon and managed to go from level 8 to level 14 in one sitting. Pretty successful night
