Anyone else have the Black Ops right shinguard that give you +10% movement speed?
Upgraded it give a great defense bonus and makes a WORLD of difference when moving
I bought it from deb in beacon hill. Biggest purchase I'd made. Easily worth it.

I read about that but haven't been able to try it out yet.

Sanctuary has never been attacked in my 35+ hours of playing.
I have about 200 Defense in Sanctuary so I dare the mofos to attack.
They did wipe out one village. I missed the message that it was under attack.
I've had a couple of attacks while I was fixing up villages.
I've been building large goofy structures so I am actually eating into my supplies.
I need the damn scrapper mod to come out so I can get the most out of every item I pick up.

I took 20 levels worth of junk that I hadn't used yet, dumped it on a cleared house foundation and it took 20 minutes to break it all down. The nice thing though is that when you break it down it goes directly to your work bench and not your personal inventory.

I purposely kept my defense low at my starlight compound in hopes of drawing in some attackers.
I got my first victims last nigh with a horde of poorly armed super mutants. Those idiots couldn't even find the gate. They just ran around the edge getting shelled with artillery and machine gun fire. It was a bit anti-climactic.
That's with a total of 60 in food and water, and 30 on defense.
ETA: I had armed all my settlers with really nice guns I've collected, and they all used them. That part was pretty sweet.

I have Thursday off and I can't go home for Thanksgiving so my day off will be spent building settlements. First thing I do is run around and scrap everything that is just laying around. I'm trying to figure out how to build fences.
I hate that the junk walls don't connect and because of that, they should have allowed you to change your build view to overhead.
I want to build up Sanctuary, but I'll probably use Starlight as a practice build first since it is smaller.

the thing about building that irks me to no end is that I scrapped all the ruined houses at sanctuary and it leaves the foundation. I can NOT get any of the wood or metal walls to sit on the top of it. It's like a half inch floating above it.

just found out you can hold A (x on PS4) to rotate what you are building.

I waiting for some new building mods to come out before I really get into building up my settlements. Its just so broken right now.

yep its stupid, you have to lay floors down in order to have things "snap" and line up flush.

create a save game slot right before you leave the vault and it asks you if want to change anything about your character.

That's why I completely ignore it. I will build some containers to hold weapons and such as I get further into the game but other than that, screw it.

I've built quite a bit in my settlements. Large 3 story wood structures in Sanctuary and Starlight.
But I have NEVER been able to get that "corner shack" piece to work. It always sets (i.e. turns green) opposite of how it should. I've just given up on that piece. But the thin walls fit well for corners, and the thicker "outer caps", combined with the smaller/thinner corners also work well.
But that large 90...no way. It just won't work for me.

Thank you for posting this cause I thought I was going MAD thinking "wait isn't that the opposite way it is supposed to be? after fricking with it for 10 minutes trying to reverse it.
How is this shite supposed to work?

Thats the reason I gave up with it. I'm also very OCD and that drives me insane.
