^^^^ Gaijin says it is the best Monster Hunter yet and a system seller.
From the IGN review.

Whether or not it's the best, this is certainly the most audacious Monster Hunter game. World takes a dramatic leap into a look, feel, and size that feels truly new, simultaneously staying true to the series’ ideals by maintaining the addictive loop of combat, intimidating monsters and meaningful upgrades that fans love. The sheer depth and commitment required is still intense, but it clearly isn’t Capcom’s aim to court a casual crowd. This is as all-consuming and incredible a ride as ever.

Debating on whether I want to double dip and get it on PS4 now or just wait it out until the PC launch.

Game is not a hack and slash type game. Controls will be clunky to those until you learn how to play. This is on purpose, similar to dark souls combat. The smaller weapons like the sword and shield and double sword are easier to control and may suit you better until you learn how to play. But the controls are fine. The game just takes learning bosses moves and knowing when to attack. You shouldn't try weapons like the great sword as a beginner. Those are very slow and take good timing.
Beta was also a joke, game is much harder than what you played. Until the 4th mission they added late.

fricking cuck boi and gamestop told me this was going to be split screen. Really wanted to play this with the GF and come to find out...it is not im sure for performance reasons.
It has never been a split screen. You have single player and online multiplayer only. Dude is a retard.
Single player can be played in full offline though.
There is matchmaking for random groups.
You also can call SOS flares to get people to help when you are alone if you are connected online and having problems with a monster.
I will be on PS4.
I can start a list when people start buying the game in the OP.

If I have 6-10 hours per week for gaming, is that enough to do anything in this game? like 1-2 hours at a time?
Ive always been interested in this series, never had a system to play it.

I played the monster hunter game that came out on the Wii U and thought it was terrible.

Preordered the deluxe, have a group of friends that have played previous ones, this'll be my first.

One of the few games I actually liked on my U.
But everybody has their own taste.
This one is rated much higher than the U version and will be easier for new players. Give it another shot.

I wanna get into it, but the more I watch the more I'm like, "nah".
There's way too much shite happening on the screen. Health bars and status bars and whatnot. Looks like the stock market ticker thing on MSNBC or Fox Business. Plus, the battles look like they can be cheesed too easily.

Monster being cheesed has never been a problem in these games. But there are a ton of mechanics. Each weapons has it's own tactic for the most part. Lots of items to use, statuses, elements, buffs, traps, bombs.
