I thought the same. Menus will sting for a new player. But I am used to them

Never played any of the previous games but about to jump into this one. You’ve got me scared.

How in the frick do you join friends?

So the game is fun, but there is already a huge issue.

Capcom have completely fricked up the story mode and making it almost impossible to do with friends. I (dumbly without research) and several other people bought the game thinking we could go through the story and what not together. Nope. Have to watch dumbass cut scenes or someone will have to rush through the story alone to play with other people.

Making it a requirement to have seen a mission's cutscene before you can join with a friend is probably the dumbest developer move I've ever heard of in a multiplayer game.

It's in the middle of the first mission after you find the hub. You kill 8 of these creatures and then find this bigger creature to take out. They say you can send out an SOS flare to get help, and that's when you can invite. Your friend spawns at the base camp so you have to wait for them to catch up.

Going to like this, but my word, the combat is the most unintuitive thing I've done in a game. Going to take some getting used to.

I think I want this game

Pretty steep. They throw you into combat with pretty much no instruction. I picked the bow as my starting weapon and I feel like I'm constantly hitting the wrong buttons for what I want to do.

I hear inventory management is a beast as well.
