I got it. It's enjoyable. I "beat" it fairly quickly.
The version of golf where your character runs after the ball was surprisingly fun.
I attempted to swing with the controller and it's the poor/broke man's wii version. It doesn't work well at all.

Overall enjoyable, laid back game.
I don't think it's worth the $60 price tag though.

Thanks. So is it more geared to the juvenile age set?

Aren't all Switch games geared toward younger kids? I'm definitely buying the game, but at a $30 price point or below.

There was a thread about this. Most think it was a let down.

It is fun with friends, but overall not much depth to it. The golf aspects are okay, not great. I don't really care for the speed golf mode much, contrary to the other poster. I do enjoy the battle golf though.

I found this game to be really mediocre. Was pretty disappointed. Definitely not worth $60, maybe half that.

Don't like the game at all personally. They really dumbed down the mechanics and hardly included any content. Sure, they will be providing free DLC in the coming months, but the gameplay doesn't warrant coming back. There are a few cool ideas though, like the XC Golf for example, but it's just so mediocre. I would wait for a discount OP. Game is not worth the $60 price tag.

I give it a solid 6.5/7 out of 10.

If you like Mario Golf, you may hate it.

If you like Golf and Mario, you may enjoy it.

Either way, it's a "super rush"ed game and is very bare bones, putting it mildly.

I started a thread about this when it came out. Consensus is that it was mediocre....which I agree.

BUT with friends and playing with the motion controls it is quite enjoyable. Create a discord so you and your friends can chat and it will be just like playing a 4som. Lots of F bombs dropped.

They say that they already have some DLC courses ready to release..when IDK.

Overall playing alone 6/10
Overall playing with friends 7.5/10

FYI: once you unlock different star clubs it demands your swing to be more pure..if not you will slice/hook/shank/etc. your shots.

I liked it, but I haven't played in a week. I'm in my mid 30s and don't really play online. So, unless some friends are over having a beer, I don't really have the motivation to play the game alone. I enjoyed it while it lasted, though. I planned on this game keeping me occupied for a while so that I could hold off on getting Skyward Sword, but I've already ordered it.

Yup same here. I was really wanting it to be a decent golf game, nothing insane but maybe relatively challenging and from everything I’ve read it is a Mario game with golf as a theme.

I completely disagree. I think you might not be good at it. I think the swing mechanics are fairly decent. If you don't keep the controller square...like a club in golf...you won't hit hit straight. I think that the motion controls are better than the Wii's.

I do agree with 60$ being way to high. I regret buying it at 60$...but most of my friends with switches bought it so can't complain.

It was already on sale on Amazon over the weekend. Shows it clearly is not doing well.

I was talking to someone that heard a report of classic nintendo games going for big bucks. Not sure but I think because of Nintendo's Mario fame they threw out a trash game near or on an anniversary?

I have it but more so for my 5 year old. I have him in golf lessons now and using the game as an easy/fun way to teach.

It's fun but more geared to the kids.
