I haven’t been able to pick up my copy yet. I am shocked PlayStation has taken it down and offered refunds. Never seen this happen before. I have heard of a lot of bugs in the pS4 regular version. I will be running it on a 5 where I heard it runs smoother. I’m still thinking of buying it because I heard some good things. Any thoughts on the game itself. Especially those running it on a 5 or a pro?

Haven’t played it but most complaints and the online bug videos show it to be unstable, both in crashes and in a lot of the weird graphical glitches and disappearing objects.

My personal favorites I saw so far were cops who spawned with no shins or feet, just knees on the ground, and the sports car which drove straight through a building and backed up without any damage at all. The latter was like Doom with the No Clipping cheat on.

They also managed to recreate the Assassin’s Creed Unity bug where a character renders everything but their head, with just eyeballs and a set of teeth floating above the body.

In the Dark Future of the 21st century, that's just a cybernetic upgrade you can get.

I have the 2nd edition sourcebook somewhere and I am reminded of a quote from the enhancements section.

“The Appearance trait can be increased at a cost of X EU per +1 to stat.

Want to decrease Appearance? A straight razor is $0.49.”

It has its bugs, sure, but I am still having fun playing it on PS4 pro. The biggest bugs I've seen are from what people have posted online not personally. I've also read about it shutting down consoles but that hasn't happened to me either. It's not a "gamechanger" game like some were thinking it would be but it's still a solid game.

Even if it ran perfectly, it’s the Good Value version of Grand Theft Auto. AC Valhalla was an immensely better experience. And I can’t believe I would ever say that.

The driving is straight potato. Remember the hate about the first Watch_Dogs’ driving? Yeah, this is just as bad. Whoever designed the driving mechanics has never used a vehicle before and I wonder id they’ve even experienced gravity or understand simple motion mechanics. Slide, spin and twirl your way to your mission point.

I’d say the AI is bad, too, but that would imply there’s AI and not just Baby’s First Script. Cars just stop if impeded and NPCs are in just two states: carrying out a basic script (just lean against a wall or walk down this exact path) or cowering in fear. They’re mannequins.

The wanted system is the worst of all time. Get a star or two, cops literally spawn near you...even if you’re in a room with only one entry/exit, they’ll spawn behind you in a closet and pewpew. Drive a single block in any direction and cops give up. It’s so retarded. This is the kind of stuff one of those famed assest-flipper Steam green-light games would produce.

The world is dead. It’s not remotely interactive. It’s a shell of pretty lights. It’s like someone with LED lights all over his monster computer case, but there’s no hard drive, no GPU, no CPU, no motherboard...just some fans. Even in a Yakuza game, I can go bowling, throw darts, eat, drink, play video games, fish, do karaoke, dance, etc...I can’t do shite in Night City.

And my god the shooting is a spectacle of eye vomit. So much shite on the screen, it makes shoot outs a chore. You’ll get a tension headache from squinting and adjusting your eyes to make sense of the glittering carnival of chaos. I tried to stealth as much as possible to avoid shoot outs. It feels like playing a game when you’re wife opens the window behind you and gives your TV glare herpes.

The story isn’t terrible, but it isn’t good enough to put up with discount GTA. There are other games that do what CP2076 can’t do:

- GTA has a way better interactive element. Even as far back as Vice City. CP2076 is GTAIII with 2020 graphics and I feel like I’m doing GTAIII a disservice saying that.

- Any of the Yakuza remasters or Yakuza 0 destroys CP2076 in world interaction, skill progression and story-telling.

- Pick uo any FPS made in the last 5 years and it’s instantly better than this game at shooting.

- Pick up any game not named The Witcher 3 and its loot system is better. Seriously, I thought CDPR at least learned how bad their loot system was.

There. That’s my assessment. F this game. If this game were made by EA or Activision, this board would universally condemn it. But since CDPR made it, there’s three or four fanboys who are going to defend this mess. Steer clear. Get this from a Dollar General bin for $2.

I'm not having many issues on PC but I can't get into the game at all...Don't know what it is but it hasn't drawn me in for some reason. I played 8 hours and have felt pretty bored with it.

This is one of the dumbest things I've ever read about a video game and that's saying something. What a lazy arse developer.

I've really had very few issues playing on PC.

Don't get me wrong, there is the occasional thing floating in a cut scene, i've come across one person that was hovering in midair, but nothing that has really ruined the game yet.

Missions have all run smoothly and no issues there.

Same. Truth be told, I didn’t keep up with this game or the hype at all until it released and said frick it I’ll get it.

I’ll play for like 45 min to an hour then quit and load up squad, CK3 or BG3

From what I’ve seen, the game has a lot of potential. Under all the bugs and issues, there’s an amazing game. But it’ll take time for them to fix it. I’m going to wait for them to come out with updates that address the issues before buying.

With how incredible the Witcher was it's amazing how bad this game is.

these are my 2 biggest issues and why I'm waiting for a few months. they 100% had better, more ambitious AI and systems planned, but couldn't get them implemented in time and put placeholder systems in for launch. how embarrassing

if anyone needs a real, polished cyberpunk fix, the Deus Ex games are far better

One annoying bug is that when I'm wearing a hat and look in the mirror, I come up bald.

Not sure if that's because of the hair style I chose or what...

On the PC it's not terrible, just feels unfinished and clunky. From my understanding it's borderline unplayable for the Xbox One and PS4.

As a PC player, I'd still purchase it, but I definitely understand why people are pissed off because it just doesn't feel finished at all, and there are random quirks that take a lot of getting used to. We were promised an Olympic Swimming pool, but we got a 50x25 metre puddle.
