I have come to the realization that I'm just not good at these games and I should avoid them. It hurts me to have to make this confession but it is what it is. I was a beast at Pitfall as a kid but now I'm just a bad gamer. God Bless all of you that continue the fight!!

That's because it sounds like you're old. I'm almost 33 and I have gotten generally worse at games.. but I've grown up playing FPS and I still feel I can hold my own a lot of the time. Doesn't mean I'm going to climb the ranks to the top in the games I do play, but I play above average. Don't even touched ranked modes of most of the games I play, for instance R6 Siege. I dabble in Competitive Overwatch but it's toxic as hell. If I ever play CS:GO I only do Competitive.

I'm with you. This is why I don't play online.

Yeah I think that's sort of well known here. My eyes are bad and my reflexes are even worse. I am not even buying COD games anymore because by the time I get ok there is a new one out and I have to learn it by sucking again.

Im 54, and I suck too. But I have found Destiny is a fun game. I just don't play against other people.

I was a god at black ops 2. I think my kd for the last modern warfare was .76

The worse I get at fps’s the better I seem to get at old rts games like red alert and age of empires. I think my brains changing

I got a buddy I duo with in console Overwatch, he is 32 and I am 29 and we are both masters players. But we both had to sink a ton of time into the game to get better at it, I definitely feel as though as I have gotten older I have had to put more time into games to get better at them as opposed to just being naturally good. When I was in High School and my early years of college I was pretty dominant at the Modern Warfares but I have come back to earth with the more recent one. I sport a 1.19 KD in the multiplayer which is a far cry from the 1.8ish I hovered around when I was younger.

I'm bad too.

But I still like playing them. They're great to take breaks from games like Witcher 3 or Dark Souls.

Sometimes I'll play Halo for hours, and get last place in everything.

I'm VERY hot/cold in FPS games.

I'll go on a tear where it seems I'm slaughtering everyone and everything, even carrying a team.

Then I'll go on a stretch where I'm praying I'm not losing the match for everyone else. I don't seem to have a middle ground, just the two extremes.

Yea. You’re just old. I got into MP Halo late and it took me forever to just get decent. I don’t have the reflexes, especially controller reflexes to be be anything more than passable.

FPS games take a shite ton of skill.

may hit you up, been wanting to get back into overwatch BAD. I was a high diamond player and was never able to quite hit masters, but I did a lot of solo queuing and never really had a good squad to consistently play with. I was a very high level tracer player and could singlehandedly win games with her and genji at Platinum, but it's been probably years since I've played. Had to play more Support towards the end when everyone would load in and pick Attack players smh

I will go on a tear in Overwatch where I just dominate, then I can't hit anything

I'm definitely not great at all, but I can hold my own. But sometimes man...some lobbies...I have no idea where I am and I feel lost. Like Uncle Reemis with Alzheimer's getting out of the home and wandering the streets lost...

Well shite that’s good. I don’t play much comp (126 hours across all seasons combined since 1), but I hit 2812 tank and 2904 support. Never hit Diamond. Still if you look at sites like overbuff 2800 is above average SR.

For reference on how little I play comp I have been playing OW since day 1 (release not beta), and my profile is a gold border with 5 stars.

I wish there was something between Quick Play and Comp in terms of intensity. I got frustrated with how lax QP was. I was in the top 1% of Tracers in QP for a long time and it just got tedious playing with uncoordinated teams. I was pretty much all comp when I quit playing.
