So according to you guys, the massive expanse of quality games boils down to:
Rocket League - Car Soccer. I'll try it but I'm also not 14.
Rainbow 6 - Could be fun, but I've never been a fan of the 1 death/round model that was Counter Strike
The Division - Not released and still up in the air
Wildlands - Not released, but looks interesting
Witcher 3 - Watching gameplay videos and it's 3rd person. I'm not a big fantasy fan, Skyrim pulled me in because of the first person mechanics and looting options.
I'm sure these are fun games, but they aren't traditionally what I play.
Look, I think you just laid out our case in point that you may just be picky right now. That's cool man, I know that feel.

Seriously though get Dying Light the Enhanced Edition.
Edit: I can vouch for R6 Siege. It's all I play right now and I don't even play MP FPS that much. The last one I played with frequency was BF3 and before that it was probably COD MW2 or some shite.

You need to give Fallout 4 a try. I actually like it better than the Elder Scrolls series although Oblivion and Skyrim are awesome as well. Fallout is all I have played since it came out, and I have not yet finished a play though. Level 52 now and just now feeling like I need to rapidly advance the story line and go to another game. It is SOLID.
Probably going to put that down just in time to start playing the Division.

That is exactly my point. If you factor in 4 DLCs plus the "full" game at $60, that is roughly $180 for a "complete" game. It was certainly fun and I was hooked for a while, but you gotta stop feeding into the bullshite that is paid DLC at some point.

I got over 200 hours out of $40 taken king. No bullshite there so I have no issue with it. This late I wouldn't jump on it though because the player base is dwindling with no new content.

If the game is quality, the players will stay even when new content isn't introduced every 15 days. Maybe the exodus of players is a sign that the game is shite at its core.

Destiny is not dead.
I don't play near as much as I used to, but I still play for Trials on the weekends and there's no issue finding people to play with through the subreddit.
I've logged more than 1,000 hours in the game and it's bar none the best FPS shooter of all time, at least until now. There's a spring update coming and more DLC being released later this year.
However, if you don't have friends playing then I can see where it may not be attractive. But to say it's not a good game is just purely false.
Regardless, the one game you keep saying you won't play is only the GOTY and perhaps the best RPG in the last decade and that includes Fallout, at least for me.
If you like skyrim, there is no reason you won't like the Witcher.
