People seem to care far too much what others think of your hobbies. As long as it isn’t illegal or harmful to others, do what makes you happy.

I’ll play video games for as long as they still interest me. When they don’t, I’ll give it or sell it to someone who does.

My grandfather was a monster at Tetris, Dr. Mario, Mario Bros 1-3, and Pac-Man.

Many memories of him slaughtering me on his NES.

He was a firm believer is making even his grandkids “earn” their wins.

He played well into his 70s.

Do what you want to do.

I have a group of friends i play a lot of different games with. Started as an ESO guild, but now we play lots of different random games. Whether we actually play anything or not we will hang out on Discord everyday. I'm 38 and I'm one of the youngest people on there. It's the firs time in my life I've every actually met anyone "from the internet." I've also built PCs for 3 of the people I play with.

My mom is 58 and we play board games and trivia type stuff online together pretty often and I don't really know why I do it, because she absolutely kicks my arse everytime. My dad is 67 and I still can't get him to join in on anything even tho he has his iPad in his hand at pretty much all times lol.

I'm 51 years old. My first video game I played was Space Invaders at the bowling alley at the base my family was stationed. Eventually I got an Atari 2600 the year it came out, and a Commedore Vic 20 - with the cassette deck - I spent hours and hours typing in code to run my own games.

Video Games have been a part of me longer than any friend I currently have. I love playing Fortnite with my son -- it is the fastest and most diverse FPS out there in regards to using imagination, spatial awareness, and strategies which produce a win.

Why should I throw that away because I'm becoming a geezer?

This comic was written in 2007. So if it was okay then, I think it's cool now ;)

We GenXers will be the first generation where games will be specifically designed for senior citizens.

I mean, you want to tell me Candy Crush wasn't specifically designed for Boomers?

No shite. I dont even understand this topic. Why would anyone quit doing something they enjoy because they get older?

Im pretty sure if my 80 year old grandfather had a flight simulator setup he would play all day every day

Sounds like his grandson needs to get to work.

I'm 59 years old. I've been playing games since the arcade games back in the day. Don't care about what other people think about my gaming experience and what I should be doing at my age. I play because I enjoy it. A couple years ago, I got into modding (fo4 creation kit) and I think I enjoy that more.

I just turned 33 and have been steadily losing interest in gaming. Don’t get me wrong I still play but I just get bored more quickly and have pretty much stopped buying new games.

Overwatch is all I consistently play because I like to listen to music while playing and generally prefer PvP anyway.

Are we in an age that it’s socially acceptable to play video games into retirement?

Considering that studies have shown that video games improve mental acumen, that's a bad question.

49 years old and love me some gaming. Unfortunately the new games suck. I am still fuking the youngens up on Black ops 1. My daughter ( 21 years old NO PICS) came over and we had a quick scoping challenge on Nuketown. Btw she beat my arse

As mentioned earlier I play games to pass time and save money. #gamer4life

Death. There's nothing wrong with anyone at any age playing video games.

I have buddies that think playing video games after college is weird but they will wake their asses up at 4 am and go sit in a tree for 5 hours.

Making me feel better about for sure!

Not that I would quit gaming I am finding it harder sometimes to have extra time for it.

I’m 41 years old, married with 2 kids. I don’t intend to stop gaming. It’s so much better than watching TV. I rarely watch tv.
