Keep seeing ads for this game on social media and YouTube. Has anyone played it? Is it worth purchase?

I have played it and it is very cool and immersive, but it is also very hard IMO to break into... There's a learning curve with all the squad/game mechanics and voice chat is almost a necessity. There is a lot of travelling/running around only to die to an unseen enemy.
But when everything is clicking and you're on a well-coordinated team, there's nothing else like it.

It's fun. Frustrating but fun. Headsets necessary. Learning curve is hard.

Console or pc?
I ask because they are different in some respects.

Fun as frick. One game can last an hour and a half.
Maps are damn near if not 1:1 real life locations. Be prepared to die and have no idea where the frick from.
Having a squad that is talking is a must so don’t be afraid to leave and rejoin games/squads til you get a good one

Fact.
My biggest problem in a game is you can't stay with the same squad like in Battlefield. Spend forever trying to get into a competent and communicative squad only to have 10 minutes left in a match then back to square 1.

Its been my go to game and I've got about 700-1000 hours in it. Game play is pretty simple, king of the hill style and you are limited by player made spawns. Its not hard to figure out but many new players take it too quick and treat it like cod..
Most games will last the full limit of 90 minutes so no need to rush. The hardest part for me was learning the maps and normal funnels. if you want a game that's slower and more strategic go for it but be ready to die a ton.

It's included on Xbox game pass for PC. Fun game but can't be frustrating if you don't have a regular crew. Game is punishing

It’s great, but it’s harder than like say call of duty, I stink at it and usually play the medic

I love being the heavy machine gun and finding a choke point and laying down heavy suppressive fire on the enemy
The game is badass. Especially if you really enjoy WWII content like I do. Like everyone said, it’s very realistic, the maps are incredible, and the gameplay is fantastic
The negatives are like everyone said. You will die a ton and have no clue where you were killed from. Sometimes you will have to travel a long way on foot, and there is no autorun like some other games. Squad communication is a must
But it’s all worth it when you can get it right. It’s a great game

I kinda got burned out on this a few months ago and uninstalled. This thread made me decide to redownload and get back into it.
Holy crap I was never like good at this, but the combination of being rusty while others continued to play and get better has my head spinning. I'm getting killed way more and faster. Ive gone long stretches of not even firing my gun because I'm dead before I even blink. I got 3 kills this morning and thought I was a god

Play slow like I do. Try getting into some cover with an LMG and lay down some fire
