This is kind of disappointing though I'm sure it will be a great game. The original had an obvious sequel story that I want to see more of.
SPOILER ALERT
I wanted to continue Jin's story and have him go to the mainland to see the emperor and restore his honor and be reinstated as a samurai with Jin being the new head of Clan Sakai. He needs his redemption arc.

this is where i am currently. i'm sure it will be good but i'm bummed we arent getting a more mature, badass jin story

She strikes me as a modern day Raiden.
A protagonist absolutely nobody asked for or wanted in and other wise good game.
As great a game as MGS2 was, I hated Raiden the entire time and still do tot his day and just wished I was playing Snake instead.

Perfect dark was awesome with a female protag, just make a good game and nobody that matters will give a shite.

Ignoring most of the posts on this thread as I’m only in Act 2 of Tsushima, but I’m cautiously optimistic about this game. Honestly, if they can just make the world as beautiful as they did in Tsushima, that will be 50% of the battle.

id want that for Jin too, but what would that gameplay be? You go to Japan and have civil discussions and attend royal courts for hours?

There's a crap ton of good games with a female protagonist. This really shouldn't be an area of concern anymore.

This is all I care about. I think I read that it's being built for the ps5 from the ground up.
This type of game was the first game since Ezio in those assassin's creed games that I actually wanted to explore and "live" in. I didn't feel that boredom until about 10% left of the game but the story was so strong that it didn't matter.

He'd have to save the emperor somehow or do some big mission for him. Maybe the mongols invade again. This time Jin would be an outlaw so you could also do something where even the Japanese people are afraid to talk to him.

Ghost of Tsushima is one of the best looking video games around so if that this is true then I can't wait.
I remember visiting my parents one week after Tsushima came out and they had gone out to run some errands. When they came back I was playing Tsushima and my dad thought I was watching a movie.

It’s not. The concerning part is the VA for the main character. But again, they haven’t released enough details on the game or the story for any other conclusions to be made

I was told by a mutual friends of ours that the upgrade to the PS5 version was probably not worth it because the PS4 version look really good anyways.
I still upgraded and my word, it's one of the best looking things I've seen on the PS5. And no loading times is nice as well.
