Cry me a river. Do these people know how may men in the industry get death threats because they review or say something negative about the game? Women aren't the only ones that are threatened but damn if they aren't the only ones acting like it's the worst thing that has ever happened and it's only happening to them.

Do you honestly think that someone is going to rape and murder a game developer just because she's a woman? No. It's all just internet BS. Men get messed with too. CliffyB, Phil Spencers, etc. The list could go on and on. They ignore it and don't take it personal. The women don't ignore it and make it worse because they give the internet more ammo. They just need to grow thicker skin.

The gaming subculture is populated by a lot of full grown men that act like children. They tend to act like the whiny assholes that they are when a game doesn't meet their desired specifications. I'm pretty embarrassed of my gaming hobby due to these types of people.
However, it's Pretty hard to come through on a death threat from mommy and daddy's basement.
Game developers need to take a deep breath and realize that there are substantial pockets of their customer base that aren't rational human beings and the Internet only exacerbates that.
