Once you complete the free challenges does it unlock the battle pass challenges?
As I mentioned I started playing mid season 7 and I did the overtime challenges and got the battle pass.
After completing all the weekly challenges in season 8 I thought I would have the battle pass. I didn't complete the OT challenges in season 8,
But right now I am working on finishing the shadow bomb challenge. Once I do, will it unlock the battle pass challenges or do I have to pay to get them?

You have to buy the battle pass. Season 8 was free

I played some solos last night, and had a 7 kill third place. I want to play more solos this season, because I only played like 150 matches last season. There’s a fortbyte in a room in the house in Fatal fields. I found it last night.

They’re collectable/unlockable pieces that you earn throughout the season. Once you collect them all I think you earn something.

Random question for the pros.
My son was playing today and doing squads. He got to a point where it was him vs. 5 opponents. He saw 5 people and said I’ll let them battle it out. Then they got on a launch pad came over to his spot and took him down.
Upon dying he got a victory royale, but as they surrounded him, we definitely saw it was 5 people. Did they get disqualified and he got the win?

The victory royale is normal, but there are only 4 people in a squad. At least on mobile there is, but Epic will ban people if they catch them teaming up.

Once there's 3-4 left, let them fight it out. Keep getting in circle first and eventually you'll get a W because someone will die in the storm or get trapped in a build.
it won't happen the first time, but keep this up and eventually it will happen and you'll get that first solo W.
