I do and Atlantica Online got iy perfect in the MMO field, but they sold out. I loved this turn based MMO it was new and refreshing.

You can download 7, 8, and 9 on the PS Store. Like $10 each, which isn't too bad considering they should last 25+ hours.

Never had the chance to play 6 though people seem to love that one. So with what I have played it is:
10,7,9,8

FFX is the game I have played the longest out of any video game ever. I loved collecting the ultimate weapons and all of the different Aeons. The story was one of the most enthralling for me too. This list should have had 12 included in it too but I am not sure where I would place that... either before or after 9 I suppose. 13 was the most disappointing thing I have played in a long long time. Sometimes innovation is not a good thing especially when you discard the focus on a good story which has been then moneymaker for the series.

Thats about how far I got through 3 (SNES), before I lost my save. I'll start a new game eventually.

I think I may play 10 first though. I've played all of the FF games except this one. I think on release the voice acting in the game turned me off. (I was use to traditional no-voice FF games).

I know it wasn't on the OP's list, but FF 2 (FF 4 on PS1) was one of my favs. It was pretty challenging as well.

Final Fantasy Order of Decency.

1. Final Fantasy 10 (Only Final Fantasy with a Coherent Story)

2. Final Fantasy 9 = Final Fantasy 6 (tied, both games have wonderous but unbelievable stories, and drag with lack of focus on the main characters with too much emphasis on minigames.

3. Final Fantasy 7 (Literally incoherent story that makes 0 sense after Disk 3, mostly just famous for being the first decent 3D RPG, the game has a horrible Sci-Fi concept that completely falls apart at the end. Great Materia System, cool characters, but again, an extreme over dependence on minigames.

4. Final Fantasy 8 (Terrible Game all around. The first disk is great. The characters are blatantly ugly and pixelated due to Square attempting to jump the gun on real character models ahead of hardware capability. Over dependence on the card game minigame, terrible draw system that leads you to spam draw more than actually playing the game. After the first disk the game makes absolutely no sense, the characters are fake and the premise of how they met is fake. The summon animations are forced and take upwards of 2 minutes to complete. Once Squall is equipped with 100 tornados on attack, he hits for 9999 with basic attack, breaking the game. The game becomes more broken as you increase level and can be beaten at level 8. The End FMV can be watched on youtube, and there are thousands of websites devoted for trying to figure out exactly what happened and what the game was actually about.)

I hate Final Fantasy 8, because the first disk was the best story content Square-Enix ever did, but once it ended (see Squall death conspiracy theories) the game became complete nonsense.

What minigames? The coliseum?

The best thing about 6:

There is no MAIN CHARACTER. Sure Tera is the moral center of the story, but I'd argue that Celes was more interesting. Edgar and Sabin? Spoiler.... Shadow, Realm, and Strago? Locke?

6 had the best ensemble square had ever done, by far. That's a strength of the game, not a weakness.

FF3 (the real 3) was the best game of the bunch.

Better job system, bad arse for an antagonist, story that makes sense, clever leveling system that is based on individual jobs.

Yeah 3 was nice, 6 was just at the right time for me. One of the experiences you never forget. I didn't play the real 3 until I discovered emulators and fanmade English translations.

Not a big fan of completeing a portion of the story and then being sent back in time to do the same time window as the other people.

Fair enough. To each his own.

But with that said:

7 is the best and it's not even close. Not sure what traumatic experience you guys had with it to rank it so low.

FF5's job system to me was much more fully featured than FF3's

Most will disagree with this. Got a lot of 9/10 and is up there as one of the great games of the last decade and on manys all time. I could see how some could have hated it, but I also can see how many loved it. Had its flaws but imo it is one of the best stories of them all. The story combined with a great enviroment makes this game. I just loved the atmosphere and the way the game progressed.

This this this. There is not an FF game with a better cast of characters. I would rank the FF's I've played the following way:

#1 FF6: Great story, great gameplay, great music and artwork, and full of charm. I can sit down and play this game at any point. Best Final Fantasy villain ever. There's nothing I don't love about this game.

#2a FF7: It may be that it was the reason I got a PS3, but I do really like this game. While the story became an incoherent mess, the actual game remained extremely fun. Plus the Chocobo breeding and fighting the Emerald and Ruby Weapon's were truly challenging.

#2b FFX: A beautiful game for the time, excellent music and an engaging story. I found the story much easier to follow that 7's. Some really fun cinematic and locals. The thing that was missing was challenging gameplay. This game was super easy, and never really got challenging.

Distant #3 FF13: Another beautiful game, but it was lacking so much. No memorable characters, enemies, or music. Lightning is just female Cloud.

I didn't rank 8, 9, X-2, or 12 because I never finished them. I got through most of 8 and 12 and got bored, never really got into 9, and X-2 made me quit pretty quickly. FF4 was a really great game as I recall, but I haven't played it in so long I didn't feel comfortable ranking it.

7 is the best if you haven't played anything before it. That's generally the line.

I feel like I might have really missed out on FFX somehow. I played it but never got engrossed in it.

I agree with the story points about 7. I recently dove back into it and read everything through and realized I had been grossly wrong on several points. A lot of things aren't clear until you research them independently.

8 and 9 I'm still sorting out properly.

X-2 was awful. I played a few hours of it and just couldn't take it anymore.

13 I want to finish out to where it gets "better." We'll see where it takes me, but so far I feel so detached from it.

And 6 was beautiful. Loved it all around. Great cast of characters, great story, and they actually gave each a complete backstory and reason for being there.

9 -> 10 -> 4 -> 12 -> 13 -> 8 -> 10-2 -> 7 -> 11 -> 2 -> 6 -> 1 -> 5 -> 3.

Haven't beaten 13-2 yet but it'll be around 4th to 6th.

Also, ratings dont mean anything. I saw a site that gave dead island a 3/10.

If you can explain what actually happened in Final Fantasy 8 I will give you 500 dollars on paypal.
