Interesting fact about the Metal Gear Solid theme (before 2005):
In 2005, the copyright owners of a Russian TV show contacted and threatened to sue Konami because the MGS2 theme sounded exactly like the theme to their show and since the copyright hadn't expired, Konami had to alter the theme for 4.
That's why "Metal Gear Solid Saga" only has the theme from MGS3 and not the one from MGS2.
My favorite musical piece, though, is the music that plays when Tassadar kills the Overmind from the original Starcraft.

The Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy collection is a staple on my music devices. Perfect music for going to bed. Mostly calm with just the right amount of nostalgia.

MW2 and Crysis 2 had main themes from Hans Zimmer, whose done many great movie scores: Crimson Tide, The Dark Knight, Gladiator, Inception etc.
Gears of War 2 was composed by Steve Jablonksky, who scored for Transformers (putting the movies aside).
Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori have done excellent work for creating the pieces that bring you into the universe of Halo.
So aside from that people's taste in music, like games, is subjective please enlighten me.

The choice of music of Fallout 3 aided in making that game what it was. The irony of using the "big band" style from the grand times of 'Murica helps set the strange mood of the game. It is comparable to using children's nursery rhymes in horror movies. It forces you to realize the times you came from will never be experienced again (at least not for a while). Like Breaking Bad, I wish I could experience Fallout 3 for the first time again.

All while giving a great juxtaposition from the era that once was to the current environment in the Capital Wasteland.

Werd. I have both CDs plus the live DVD that came with 2 Live CDs. Add that to the Black Mages and you have FF music for any occasion.
