Far Cry 3, I had forgotten how good it is

Been playing it again waiting for Blood and Wine, they did a great job with this game. The story is great and I actually know whats going on even though I usually skip the story dialog. I don't even mind the jump puzzles.

Probably my favorite ps3 game, incredible open world and fun action. Only complaint is they kill the badarse villian halfway through the game in a weak fight

People shtt on the Far Cry games but FC3 and FC4 are super fun to play. FC4 is also up there as one of the best looking titles to date.
The story might not be the best, but FC is more complete "sandbox" than GTA. You can progress through the game using a play style that suits you.

You are limited to select play styles in GTA. In FC3/FC4 you can go about the campaign and missions in vastly different ways.

FC3 < FC2
Campaign for FC3 was actually really really good.
FC2 campaign wasn't even playable honestly.
But FC2's multiplayer blew FC3 out of the water. You could actually host a game playing your own custom maps. FC3 catered to the COD fan base too much.

Shameless 9 year thread bump here by someone who just played and finished the game for the first time.
My first FC was 6. I know it was shite on but I enjoyed it. I love FPS games with longer campaigns (which is why I don't do CoD...I'm not interested in the multiplayer and the campaigns are way too short and linear). Loved Cyberpunk after all the fixes.
I played FC 5 not too long ago and also had a blast with it, so when I saw that 3, 4, Primal, and New Dawn were all available for free on PS+, I snagged them all.
I thought that the liberate outpost tasks were by far the best of the 3 that I have played so far. The towers actually took a little bit of thought in the 2nd island. Early on, when I was underpowered with limited ammo, loot rucksacks, weapon choice, etc the game was a real challenge. Especially with the random tigers, bears, and komodo dragons all over the place. Not to mention bad guys at every turn. It got much easier, obviously, as I capture more and more outposts.
The story was great, the side quests were lame, and the gameplay was really fun.
Someone earlier in the thread mentioned the ending. I decided to join Citra, which was weird in that she fricked me for my seed and then killed me anyways. Seemed like a pretty abrupt ending. I watched the other ending on youtube and it was a little better.
Can't wait to play 4, Primal, and New Dawn (less excited for this one to be honest).

Your best bro Vas was straight up incredulous that this was all over some bitch. If you didn’t see that the Crazy Pussy Train had left the station, I imagine you learned a valuable lesson
