One claims this is probably how it went down:

quote:

EA to Visceral: “Figure out how to get Loot Boxes into this.

” Visceral: “LOL, no way.”

EA to Visceral: “You have chosen…poorly."

Another studio EA has shut down.

The second EA buys a company you know their days are numbered.

They will either start cranking out EA corporate shite or die.

Blame the owners of these companies for selling out.

They build these studios from the ground up, thanks to the hard work and talent of their employees.

Then they sell it all to EA knowing damn well EA plans on destroying it.

yep, the original Dead Space is easily one of the best horror games ever made. The atmosphere is incredible.

Considering Inquisition, the old republic, and Andromeda have all come out since that "graphic" was created... I think that graphic is misleading, cause they aren't "dead", which is what this thread is about?!?!

I think a case can be made that bioware has been getting worst since Mass effect 2... but the point of the thread was "shut down"

and honestly the people that made bioware so amazing during their Mass effect / dragon age / swtor years has long since moved on from the company

They were working on a new Star Wars game. It was single player a action adventure. It is not being totally scrapped but reworked into a broader less linear game. To me it sounded like they were working on something akin to Uncharted but its now turning into a Destiny (MMO light) type of game. I really miss well made single player experiences like Dead Space.

You need to be boycotting them and everything they make.

I keep seeing this, but I think it's a bit of a stretch. It may come to pass, but there's literally no evidence to suggest that EA is turning this game into Star Wars Destiny.

It sucks that we have gotten no Star Wars games since the Disney acquisition outside of Battlefront and some (pretty good) mobile games.

One of the best things to come out of the prequel era were all the games that were released during that period of time. Jedi Knight II and III, KOTOR I and II, Star Wars Starfighter I and II, Rogue Squadron II and III. Games take a lot longer to pump out these days, but it's disappointing when one solid looking single player game gets cancelled per the Disney aqusition then EA shuts down the studio responsible for bringing us the next one.

I'd support multiplayer ala Mass Effect 3 or Uncharted 2/3/4, but I still see Destiny as a CoD dudebro MMO and while the Star Wars license makes the premise more appealing, I dont' want to see repetitive, grindy mission structure take precedence over a solid single player experience.
