I saw speculation that XP was cut because folks would earn extra XP via the battle pass during the season, so they didn't want players leveling up their character in no time flat.
Sucks if you don't plan on playing season, though.

I may give the hardcore players a few days into the season to sort things out. It does seem like we were made weaker with less rewards including XP.
Not sure if that's the game I want to play.

Yeah but there are player reports that cinders were nerfed so bad the events will only get you a few cinders. One player said it took 40 minutes to get the 250 cinders and the mystery chest just dropped the same shite it always did. They have no endgame so they are just making sure it takes players way longer to find that out

I was about to buy this, but sounds like my main campaign experience might suck due to these changes. Still worth it for a non-hardcore player who is mainly interested in the campaign or should I wait to see where they go? Thanks.

I'd wait. There were no fixes in this patch, they just made what's already a bit of a slog much worse.
Hell, they nerfed classes that already sucked arse and made them worse. My faith in these devs is 0 at the moment.

I've been barely playing WT1 still just trying to beat the storyline. I'm honestly not even sure I'll spend the time to finish now.

Played some tonight. They have destroyed XP. Not worth anyone's time anymore.
Pretty sure the devs just watches youtube/streamers, think everyone plays games 24/7 and are min/maxxed and nerfed accordingly.
Filthy casuals need not apply to this game. By the time you read up on a build, level and gear up your character will be destroyed by the nerf bat.

I was doing some hardcore realm renown and lilith statue farming. Managed to frick around and get killed after maxing out my renown potions and getting something like 165 of 180 lilith statues.
At least the next one I decide to roll at some indeterminate period in the future will have some nice buffs to start off with.

So I just heard about the uproar over this patch, I'm so glad I didnt buy this game. When I saw they were keeping the itemization of D3 early on I knew the devs had no idea what they were doing.

Usually it’s just normal gamer rage but this time we’re on to something
I still plan on checking out the season 1 mechanics but getting to wt4 this time around might not happen for a while with the new level reqs.
Played a little last night and the dmg reduction nerf stands out the most on my werenado build. Was getting whacked in t55+ nms when I was farming them prior.
