I usually start as the OC of a team that had a coaching change in real life, so probably Arizona State or Nebraska. Maybe Georgia Tech.

Recruit wise I limit it to however many seniors I’m losing + open spots I have already, usually ends up being 16-18. Basically never a full 25.

Then I break down the players I’m allowed to sign as follows:

25% must come from the state the school is located

25% must come from the state the school is located or a state touching that state

25% must come from a state that has a school in the conference i’m playing in or a state the school I’m playing is touching.

25% Can come from any state in the nation.

If I’m at a g5 school I don’t sign any 4 or 5 stars.

I never try to talk a player rated 90 or above into coming back instead of going to the draft.

At the cut players screen I pick between 1 and 3 players at random who are kicked off the team for some off the field or academic problem.

I’ll have an LSU dynasty and a Cajuns dynasty.

Miss the days when I could have a Southern dynasty too. Took forever to get them right.

I usually take over a team that has talent, but has been up and down the prior few years.

Fortunately for me, that generally always meant I could just be Auburn's head coach.

Don't know if I'll have a bunch of rules like that but I generally stay away from starting with a 5 star program

I'll probably play as UNC, Arizona State, West Virginia, or Tennessee depending on their star level

I've thought about breaking my rule by picking LSU and actually becoming a Bama level dynasty, instead of a title every 15 years

I usually have 3 dynasties.

I have an LSU dynasty that I keep going for years and years.

I like to rebuild once great programs like Nebraska or Miami because I grew up with those teams dominating.

I start out with Tulane or another small school and either build them up or move on.

I'll take the Cajuns, bump all my starters to 99 and the backups to 87 and play on rookie. At least that's what I do in Madden.

ETA: An recruit anyone I can, and bump them up to 87 as well.

I am starting out as Nebraska, should be worthy of an achievement to make the CFP.

My online dynasty with like 8 friends we always did this.

Start as an OC or DC of a Cupcake school or whatever the lowest official grading was. I wanna say like Ga State Eastern Michigan. Western Michigan.

Then we played seasons. Everything was fair game after that point. I remember my first HC gig was Auburn and just killed it recruiting.

Another league we did Game of Thrones based and created out own teams and did colors/logos based on the houses in GoT. I was the Riverrun Trout. We had a Winterfell Wolves and so on. All teams started at Cupcake level so all D-. We put each other in the same conference and it was awesome. Different people recruited different ways and after a few years it was really neat seeing how the teams played out.

I usually run Vandy for a dynasty for the sake of starting at a disadvantage.

On my last replay I did a promotion relegation type setup with the P5s and G5s (SEC/Sunbelt, B1G/MAC, etc) and would take a traditional power that got relegated and bring them back to the top over the course of 4-5 seasons then move to another team in a similar situation. Got 40ish years into it.

Nerd shite I know but I'll probably do that again if you can customize conferences again.

Georgia State would be fun. I always started out as the Purple Pirates of ECU.

I can’t wait to see how they ruin this game with their little fake card pack modes like every other sports game.

Fun on All American. Can be frustrating on Heisman tho. Unless you just cheeze it and run streak routes and inside fire blitz with the linebackers moved to behind the ends.
