re: CFB 27 gameplay discussion - early release today, release date 7/9

I’m really enjoying the game play changes they made this year and the dynasty changes.

I’m thinking about actually dropping most of the recruits in targeting that have NIL and saving it up to keep my qb and go hard in the transfer portal

I would assume that won't end well for recruits with a bunch of offers.

It won’t even end well with recruits with no offers. If you don’t hit their expectations they will drop you. Now it could have been because Fresno state did it but I tried that with one that I was the only offer and it went nowhere.

I have a theory that rather than pay for 3 or 4 star recruits that will come in at like a 70 something you can buy transfer portal players cheaper and they should be like 80 plus.

any roster updates?

LSU still doesn't have their 2nd and 3rdstring QBs nor the stacked freshman DL class on the roster.

I think the first major update was today. No clue if they had roster adds. I went ahead and edited the missing lsu players in myself just to start a dynasty. Chat gpt even gave really solid rating suggestions for each.

where's Anderson and Deuce Geralds? gotta have em as the building blocks to this CFB '27 Dynasty run Kiffin is about about to go on.

Unfortunately if you're a coordinator you can't adjust the nil for current players and the CPU doesn't do it either, so almost my entire starting offense hit the portal. Super frustrating I hope they fix that.

Kind of realistic that an assistant has no say in that

I decided to switch and try the catch meter. It’s probably a wash as some of my routes no way I’m catching it and I did and others I’ve dropped what would normally be caught.

I also made a slight change on defense and started turning them from balanced to aggressive to go along with my 9 yard safeties, and using the combo and point combo on man, my option and rpo get switched depending on if the qb is a runner then I focus on him, if he is a pocket passer I focus on the rb.

I’ve noticed an uptick in turnovers with my agressive D. I also have moved zone to be ultra agressive and I haven’t noticed the cpu going deep anymore than they usually do.

I like a clean screen so I'll never use the passing or catch meter. I disable everything I can that pops up on the screen.
