re: CFB 27 gameplay discussion - early release today, release date 7/9

I some how also had my oc and dc fired which I didn’t realize. I guess they were both 1 year and I didn’t see where I could renew them.

Just played it for the first time and the gameplay seems like a big improvement from the last two

LSU was finally good in the game, I had to beat them in the quarters with Texas state.

The cpu finally missed a field goal just took a ton of rivalry games and about 3 seasons of dynasty but UTSA missed twice against me.

What’s hilarious is that Alabama fired him and the hired Dabo. The Clemson hired Deboer after my first full season lmao. Both still there currently starting year 3. It’s fantastic lol

Kind of like 2023 when only 3 SEC teams were ranked. That's why some of these anomalies don't bother me.

I think it does, they made that update to remove the microtransactions.

According to google they haven’t updated the rosters in mass but it has typically done that right before kick off so id guess another 3-4 weeks.

I did notice the team ratings changed and some players changed after the update.

It sounded like they are preparing a big batch update.

Since they haven’t done that I’m wait to start a new dynasty.

The Texas State AD is making dumb goals in my contract. 1. Was get 350 yards in a game, which my offense gets 450- 550 every game. 2. Was beat utsa by at least 7. 3. Sign 3 5 star players with my 1300 NIL lol. I’m leading on one but going to have to hope that 2 5 star guys are in the portal. In my Fresno dynasty they had a lot in year 1. In my Texas state one I don’t recall any 5 stars in it last year, or at least none interested in going to me.

I’ve had a couple of interesting things I’ve noticed in year 2, the shift jet pass works really good now that the cpu is sitting in Tampa 2 vs my offense consistently. The cpu had also started to let the linebacker float back further in the Tampa 2 and it’s causing me to throw picks when I try to go to the guy on the curl that use to be money every time they ran that.

The special teams kickoff team is causing a fumble about once every two games at this point. The cpu loves to try to return kicks when they field it it a yard deep in the endzone. It’s the one area of ai that doesn’t seem to work is the cpu not learning to stop doing that.

I have also had to stop going ultra agressive in zone because the cpu has been splitting my zones deep so I backed off slightly to aggressive. It could be something I’m doing but my only issue in game play right now is my defenders not lining up near their guy in formations if I’m in man.

I went from feeling like Les miles pounding the rock over and over with Fresno state to running a wide open offense with Texas State that goes 5 wide slings the ball all over and my qb runs wild.

I guess I’m have to relocate Texas state to the sec soon just so I can play new teams. My 80 overall team is just mashing its pac 12 teams. Next dynasty I’m thinking about using NDSU, Hawaii, or someone smaller and building them.

Reposting in this thread because this seems to be more of a discussion about the gameplay.

So far in my dynasty I was at Texas State for 1 year. Went 11-3, won the PAC-12 and left to go to Purdue.

First year at Purdue we overperformed by a lot by going 10-3.

Second season I started #8 in the country as a 78 overall for some reason. shite the bed and went 8-5.

Left Purdue after going 7-6 my 3rd year. Left to go to SC, brought my backup QB from Purdue with me. Brent Key was the coach at USC and left to go to Michigan State so I inherited a pretty good team.

First year went 11-3. Lost the SEC championship to Oklahoma then lost in the quarterfinals to FSU.

Second season i brought in some solid offensive and defensive line transfers and a couple 4 star linebackers.
Team went the frick off. Running back rushed for 2k yards, won the Heisman. I ran through my schedule and finished the regular season 12-0. Thought I was going to destroy 12-0 Tennessee in the SEC championship. Well for the first time all year my defense shite the bed and we lost 55-49 in overtime. But went to the playoff and destroyed everyone. Beat Colorado by 30 to win my first national championship.

Going into my 3rd year and my QB I brought from Purdue is in his senior season and 3rd year of being my starting QB. Beat the shite out of Southern Miss last night to open the season 77-0. My NIL and dynasty points have gone up a ton. Facilities are elite and I have platinum fund raising and platinum recruiting coordinator now.

Being able to build a program and seeing a definitive difference in your decision has me addicted more than I have been since probably NCAA 2008 on the PS2.

Question about road to glory. I have 1 game left to the high school season but I got offers from all of my top schools already. Michigan was probably my best fit but they signed 1 - 5 star and 2 - 4 star RBs already. LSU is where I want to go but I don’t get as many skill points as Michigan.

Does the # of RBs signed make a difference and what about the skill points potential?

Not really. Some of the biggest roster updates happened after the season in last years game. You can blame the players for that delay.

Doubt that we see a major roster update Thursday. I’d expect that to be next month based off historic patterns.

I think the missing a large percent of the roster is more an LSU related problem. The paperwork probably didn’t get filled out correctly. I’d imagine since that cock sucker O’bannon had the game banned so long they really have to be sticklers for every bit of the paperwork being done correctly, especially since they are also paying out NIL.

Now could EA hire more people to handle that, they could and should but the missing players are either guys that didn’t do something correct or on time or didn’t want to be in the game.
