Question about road to glory. I have 1 game left to the high school season but I got offers from all of my top schools already. Michigan was probably my best fit but they signed 1 - 5 star and 2 - 4 star RBs already. LSU is where I want to go but I don’t get as many skill points as Michigan.

Just an update to my question from last night (quoted). So i committed in week 4 to LSU. Progressed to week 5 and saved the game to try both approaches. LSU had less signing bonuses than Michigan. So i tried decommitting from LSU and committed/accepted with Michigan. BTW, if you decommit, the commit point requirements raises, and your bonuses to that school reduce a good bit. Anyway, with my signing bonus for Michigan i had over 500 points to spend, but was 4th on the depth chart. I decided to reload the save, and see what happens when i stay with LSU. Signed with LSU, i had about 250-300 points to spend on upgrades. However, as i signed, i immediately was in a position battle for RB3. Won out that battle and received a few more bonus devolpment traits. Overall i think this was the right move.

RTG at a major school appears to be a grind. I'm 10 games into the season. I averaged 2 plays/game for the first 8 weeks. Since then im now getting 4 or 5 plays/game, not all of them running/receiving plays. half are blocking routes for the starting RB. I received my first NIL deal last week. Your NIL/reputation score seems to be the slowest thing to develop.

FWIW, i started out with a 4 star, but through high school he developed to be a 5 star, and he was the #2 HB in the country and #18 overall.

Doubt that we see a major roster update Thursday. I’d expect that to be next month based off historic patterns.

I think the missing a large percent of the roster is more an LSU related problem

good context. LSU dropped the ball then.

quote:

You think that is EA's fault? They encourage every player to get their paper work out in time and even give them money to be in the game..

you're right. I'm just frustrated by it.

The game feels incomplete to me. I'm twiddling my thumnbs in RTG and a offline dynasty with UCLA so I can wrap my head around NIL budgetting and recruiting in the meantime. It wouldn't be a big deal to me if I could simply go grab a custom roster which was/has always been a feature in the game until this year.

To justify my lashing out (sorry), I did full analysis of LSU's 2026 roster vs LSU's CFB '27 roster. It's pretty pathetic and worse than my initial "Missing 10-15%" estimation.

LSU has 108 players listed in real life,
Obviously not everyone can fit on the EA CFB’s 85-man roster.
So we're missing 23 off the rip
(fine, those 23 are unlikely to see the field in real life or in the game)

BUT only 57 of those 85 spots are occupied by actual LSU players.
So they currently have 52% of LSU's actual roster.

Notable highly touted recruits and/or depth pieces missing:

QB Husan Longstreet
QB Landen Clark
DT Richard Anderson
DT Deuce Geralds
CB Havon Finney Jr.
EDGE Trenton Henderson
LB Keylan Moses
OL Solomon Thomas
WR Jabari Mack
TE JC Anderson
TE JD LaFleur
RB Raycine Guillory Jr.
WR Corey Barber Jr
OT Brysten Martinez
CB Dez Ellis
S Aiden Hall
S Isaiah Washington
CB Emari Peterson
S Jackson Williams
OL Ryan Miret
WR Brayden Allen

so by year 2 or year 3 my LSU offline roster is comprised mostly of no-name, fictional filler pieces? Unacceptable IMO.

So i'm pretty far into my RTG with an HB for LSU. I"m noticing a few glitches.

1. LSU's home jersey is white. However, when playing at home, using the white jerseys, the away team will also use white jerseys. There is no auto flip to the correct jersey color.
2. In intro to the walkout, when your guy is about to walk through the tunnel, about 50% of the time, during a night game, the lights to the stadium are completely off.
3. Just before kickoff, one of the animations is your guys in a huddle getting hyped up with their arms around each others shoulders. Well, half the time, it's just the user created guy, and like 6 or 7 guys from the other team, getting hyped up by Kiffin, LOL
4. When your guy is not in, you get to watch from the sidelines, if you choose. However, several times, when my guy is coming off the field and is watching from teh sidelines, he is watching himself play (CPU controlled).
5. There is no option to sub out your player, even if he is dangerously close to a full out injury. The rest of the issues are cosmetic, but this is pretty impactful.
6. Quarter lengths that you setup in settings are completely ignored. Only 5 minute quarters on RTG.

I am kind of shocked how EA ignored the attention to detail at the outset. Last year's game didn't seem so bad. I think this is all a symptom of half assing it and relying on patches to update things later.

Yea the jersey thing is annoying since we are one of the few that wears home whites.

In year 3 with Texas State my NIl budget is huge.

i swear they either didn't bug test RTG at all this year or just completely ignored what was flagged.

also. looks like EA is beginning to recognize they lost the battle over microtransactions in CFB 27'. Physical copies are already on sale at Best Buy.

....that product strategy lasted about as long as a verbal commitment with zero recruiting hours.

So my current HB, is actually in year 2 of RTG. The progression timeline with the line graph makes no sense though.

Out of high school i selected 4 star to create my guy, but after high school he earned 5 star. I sign with LSU, then after season 1, i'm 3 star? I'm assuming maybe that's because i didn't play much in freshman year and that would be my transfer grade?
Anyway, season 2, i'm 2nd in the heisman runnings. I'm on week 8 or 9 with 1300 rushing yards and 400+ receiving yards, 15 rushing TD and 1 receiving Td. The line graph shows me dropping now to late 5th round. After every game, my guy sinks in the draft projections.

And the weekly meetings, there has to be a way to earn more than 6 points to allocate considering after every exam my hb starts out failing the subject again.

I did notice that the previous update, all they did was disable the microtransactions, but you could still try and "buy" upgrades, but it just wouldn't process. Now, it looks like they completely removed the microtransactions.

I noticed another bug which I know happened last year as well. When the cpu runs no huddle and then shifts but can’t hike the ball. I have seen it happen maybe 3/4 times a season. It happened to me once.

Yea I think a lot of these bug misses are from half passing because it’s so easy to hit release patches now.

Some are kinda wtf though because they happened last year, you fixed them and then they happen this year.

Which if they told me they focused on game play and getting all the stadiums and such right and the bug fixes were low priority due to budget I could understand. It seems they would have a massive budget and team.

One thing I can say, I'm having more fun with the game than any other ea football game I can remember. The gameplay is outstanding and every game I'm seeing tons of new animations along with the cpu finally feeling like it has some intelligence/life to it.

If they can fix a few dynasty issues, this game would almost be perfect.

This happens to me quite a bit running no huddle but i have no shifts. Literally cant snap the ball and have to call TO or take the penalty.

Can someone explain to me the dynasty budget? I dont know how to set it and i have cpu decisions turned off on everything. Do i need to save some points for coordinators at the end of recruiting? Last year i could not buy any coordinators due to having no points. Seems like its timed awfully to hire them during that time period of points allocation. Should come out of new seasons points.

The allocation is pretty clunky. Everytime I go to it it says I have 0 to recruiting and it suggest whatever percent. Then when I go recruit I have whatever was recommended and then any unused points.

I probably just need to spend more time with it. At some point you likely get so much it doesn’t really matter.

I decided to start a new dynasty to get some maction with Buffalo. I found out if you try to change the name of your cloud dynasty and it’s taken it resets all your settings. I turn wear and tear off and keep injuries on but with it off no one ever seems to get hurt. Last game guys were dropping like crazy.

I’m also trying a strategy of playing zero ranked teams seeing what will happen to undefeated buffalo come cfp and bowl time.

The cpu looks to have really been patched as a lot of 3 stars that use to never get offers have them now. It’s a bit hard having 190 NIL and 250 hours lol

Downloaded it this morning.

I can appreciate WRs don't automatically drop every pass when you get hit going across the middle.

Also running is much more realistic. Seemed like I could run out of the gun and basically get 4 yards at will last year

I made it to 9-0 yesterday. Buffalo is now 23 but Boise and UNLV are both undefeated and ranked 10 and 15.

Texas state and Fresno state both were able to get four star guys and Fresno even a 5 star in the transfer. So far with Buffalo and my 190 NIL and 250 hours I’ve got 4 - 3 star guys and 4 2- stars. I do still have 115 NIL sitting for the transfer portal and I’ll have at least 220 more come end of season from goals.

This dynasty almost everyone is now getting offers instead of what happened before where there were plenty of 3/4 star guys with no offers to scoop up.

Game play is absolutely great though I noticed when playing in the rain guys slipping all over when cutting.

Am I the only one just not terribly impressed by this game? The presentation is nice, but they don't even have the hog call in the game, or if they do it plays so rarely that I haven't heard it once. It's not like this would have been a new feature either. It was in 14. Gameplay also feels more like Madden than NCAA to me.

It's in the game. If your biggest problem with the game is that you don't hear the hog call enough then I don't know what to say. Gameplay is great to me.
