Did Zea buy out these other places and shut them
down? What did Zea do the closed those other two?

I have no problem with Zea - it's fine

But why have 5 Zea and no Semolina, surely both can co-exist

I had forgotten about Mizado. What’s currently in that spot now?

What if Semolina can't/doesn't want to participate anymore? Why is that Zea's fault?

What did Zea do to Semolina to cause Semolina to not exist? I think the blame for Semolina's nonexistence is Semolina's problem, no?

FWIW, I liked Semolina too, but they shut down here in BR long before Zea ever opened up.

Those are so good. I could just make a meal out of order 3 batches. One of my favorites from there was the Trout Lafitte. They took it off the menu then added it back then took it off again.

Agree completely. And they add some things to the menu from time to time.

Why do you keep comparing Zea and Semolinas? Some intersection between the two but not much, one mostly grill related entrees and the other pasta entrees.
ETA: love(d) both btw. Love live Shrimp Roban.

Zeas ownership killed Semolinas and replaced the locations with Zeas.

My thin wife (no pic) likes to go there for the red beans and fried chicken, I can't eat it, but the duck empanadas are outstanding. My problem is that the menu is kind of limited. I'm a tester, I like to try different dishes each visit, for people like my wife, who order mostly the same thing, it's a great place because the dishes are well prepared.

Those grits are in a league of their own, but warning, 800 calories per serving!!
