I was unimpressed with Zaxby's. It was minimal chicken, wrapped in maximum batter, then drenched in sauce. If your product isn't too good, you should at least be inexpensive. They were not.

When Zaxbys first came to my area they were pretty damn good because it was cook to order back then. It took 10-15 minutes to get your food but it would be really good. But at some point they went the fast food route and the quality has definitely suffered.

Nothing is made in-house. They use frozen

It’s a cheap knock off of Guthrie’s

At least with Canes everything is prepped and made on premises

I’ll occasionally go to Zaxby’s to mix things up.

It’s not terrible, like some say.

But it’s nowhere near as good as Canes- food or service.

Unpopular opinion, Laynes > Canes. Their sauces are basically the same, Laynes fries aren't soggy, and Laynes chicken fingers are larger/the batter actually sticks to the chicken.

Original Laynes across from campus is the greatest of all time. The OG chicken finger spot.

It’s the worst of all the fried chicken places. Gutheries, Canes, slims, foosacklys-all better by a lot

I used to go for their Caesar Zalad, but it’s been discontinued, so I don’t eat there.

Canes is better sauce anyway
that's the beauty of Zaxby's, they have a dozen sauces to choose from.

The Cajun blackened chicken sandwich was excellent, imo. Better than CFA or Popeye’s sandwiches to me. Can’t comment on the rest of the menu, only been there twice and the first time was years ago in NW Arkansas.

You've made half a dozen posts about eating less meat per your doctor and ridiculed me for telling you that makes no sense. No you are doing keto.

Another W in the column for me with unfounded insults for you

Never been to Canes, but I have been to Guthries, Zaxby's, and Foosackly's. I'm not a huge chicken finger fan, but if I want chicken fingers, I'm going to Foosackly's. Zaxby's would be my second choice. Zaxby's does have a good chicken salad sandwich and a good black and bleu salad.

There is nothing that Zaxby's has that is "the best" of anything, but nothing is terrible and the menu is diverse compared to other chicken places.

I haven't eaten Zaxby's in years, but they used to have pretty good onion rings. They had some kind of seasoning in the batter that tasted like Funyuns.
My roommate in law school used to go to Chick Fil-A for a sandwich then cross the street to get onion rings from Zaxby's...and yes, he is over weight

Only thing I really like at Zaxby's is their Zensational Zalad, which is only offered infrequently.

I'm flattered, I didn't know anyone was following me that closely. I am pre-diabetic, I don't want to become insulin dependent, so I avoid carbs, carbs make blood glucose spike. I say I'm on keto because people understand that means no carbs, I get in ketosis sometimes, but the main goal is low blood glucose.

The avoiding meat was just curiosity about how eating habits, we do meatless Mondays, I pig out on leafy greens, tomatoes, okra, onions, a lot of those have carbs, but they don't spike my BG the way processed foods do.

I apologize if I ridiculed you, I try not to make negative comments about other posters.
