Possibly swayed by demographic of the site users. Will say that I have only really used yelp to get phone info and hours of operation. Never given a review.

Heavy on BBQ and delis, short on refinement. That's what happens when you allow the hoi-polloi to vote.

Best sushi I've ever had and it's not even close.

This has got to be a joke. The guy literally cooks zatarains from the box.

These two and Franklin BBQ are the only ones I've eaten at.

How the hell does California have so many and none in Louisiana? I'll calling bs on the yelp top 100.

There is a gas station down the road from where I grew up that has better food than 75% of those places. Guaranteed.

Number 7 in Chicago only has a prix fixe menu--$210.

Probably the most pretentious menu I've ever seen.

Gus's Fried Chicken at #80 is surprising. One of my favorite places though.

I have only been to Gary Danko, #9 on the list. It was top notch but a lot of this list looks suspect.

80% of the places are on the west coast or they are in Austin and NYC.

List is not legit

This goes to show you that people base their decisions on the idea of a place, and not the food.

Franklins is pretty good, but within a 2-hour radius of Austin, there is much better bbq.

Turf n Surf is one of the worst poboys I have ever had.

Not only does the bread suck, but their fried fish is horribly under seasoned. Not to mention that they try to be fancy by using a field green mix, and that it just doesn't work.

Little Deli is a quaint joint in the Crestview neighborhood. However, neither the pizza nor the sandwiches are the best in the area. But once again, yelpers fall in love with the idea of a place, not the food.

Based on my experience with the Austin locations, I would not put much stock in this list.
