Ye Old College Inn, I would assume. I like the food there quite a bit

Ignatius (RIP) used to have one. It was great!
The only use of "Ye Olde" that I know of in town is Ye Olde College Inn. No idea if they serve that though.

I got the roast beef at Ignatius once. It was abysmally bad.
I haven't been to ye olde college in four years. Last I went it was good.

I ate there exactly 1 time and had the fried green tomato/ shrimp remoulade poboy and thought it was good. Was kinda bummed because they didn't have ice for drinks for some reason, but that was a long time ago.

When did Ye Olde College Inn go upscale? I remember eating there as a kid and it was just a local hangout with reasonable prices and decent food.

After Katrina. It's pretty much nothing like what it used to be except for some poboys but it's still great.
Bevi also has a green tomato and shrimp remolaude poboy.

Maybe you're remembering when it was a little further Uptwon on Magazine. It moved a few blocks toward downtown a couple (a few?) years ago.

Ignatius is still open. It just moved down the street across from Rum House on Magazine.

It's far from upscale and still has reasonable prices

Cafe NOLA in Ponchatoula has the best IMO.
