Irving, Arlington, the Colony
I went to the one over by TX Tech in Lubbock a few months back. It was really cool
The student waitresses weren’t bad either

I’ve said this before, but I went to the WalkOns Independence Bowl in the WalkOns suite with them and their families. I went in with basically no expectations since I don’t know anyone. They were all above and beyond kind.
We sat with Billy Joe Tolliver the whole time and he was so kind that he was trying to call us in a table at his favorite restaurant for that night.
But the owners/high ups were just so proud of their brand. They were jumping up and down when the WalkOns commercial aired and they were taking pics of the field with their logo and they were constantly following Twitter to see when WalkOns was a trending hashtag. They were just super humble and genuinely proud of it all. You’d think they had never seen success in their lives with how happy they were.
If my career somehow disappeared, the first team I’d try to join is marketing/development for WalkOns.

When they are log sized, yes. Sammy's was the first place I ever knew to serve logs, actually. They are far superior to sticks
Yep. And I'm old enough to remember even Chimes had the little frozen sticks off a food truck or something. Not homemade. They didn't jump into the 'log' game until about 10-15 yrs ago.
They add a rich yummy cheese to theirs too.

I completely understand the ultimate level of douchiness you're speaking of, but.... if, and I don't know if it was the first year they were sponsoring a bowl or whatever, my business sponsored a bowl game, as a huge college football fan, that would be the ultimate holy shite moment! I would take a million photos. I would be so excited and proud. I've got lots of mixed feelings about Walk Ons' people, but, man, that would be sooooo cool to see your business as a sponsor of a bowl game.
Cheers!

Did they not realize it was the Independence bowl?

Went there for lunch a couple weeks ago
A little underwhelming but I ordered some pretty simple dishes. I'd like to try some of their more specialty items.

Funny. WalkOns used to be so terrible, but they've done nothing but improve more and more as they've grown
Because they hired all the good managers from places like Sammy's and Chimes.
It's no big mystery why this is happening to Sammy's. And it has nothing to do with Jason's bitch arse leaving.
The company lost all their quality people to the biggest competition in each town: Walk-ons.

And can I just say this: those are not the cheese sticks I made when I was the prep cook working 15 hour days at the Highland location.
We made everything in house.
But Jason did away with that. Decided it wasn't worth paying a prep team.

Does anyone have a recipe/method for making them?
Unzip the bag from restaurant depot and throw them in 350 until crisp.

Sammy’s was always over rated in BR, but my god this is a new level of low.

I moved out of BR years ago, but I never saw Chimes quality dip like this. Are they still doing well?

The one here in BR hired the GM from Mike Andersons as their GM. He was one of the only reasons Mike Jr. didn’t run that place completely into the ground.

Chimes' quality is still there and they're still killing it

It's mind boggling. Probably the only restaurant that has gotten better with exponential growth

I got your log buddy. And Sammy's are definitely made in house. I've heard how they're made but don't know the recipe
