Last time I was there, you had a deal buster tag on Minute Maid Orange Juice...it was $5.25.

Maybe yall should raffle off some ten cent tickets for the rights to buy some of that exclusive Private Reserve Grove Blend.

Is someone making you shop there? Have you been banned from all other stores or something?

Yeah this part is accurate, and I think it's noble of them to do so. That's not my issue with this raffle at all. Here's the problem:

You have to pay $10 per raffle ticket to get a chance to purchase an allocated bottle, yet a large portion of the bottles are not allocated. I can go to quite a few stores in the area right now and get many of the bottles on this list. They are sitting on the shelves! Make no mistake about it that there are some great bottles to be had here. The problem is that I would be pissed if I paid $50 in raffle tickets only to get a knob creek or even worse an overpriced widow jane 15 that's still on shelves or a Metallica overpriced celebrity rye.

It's too expensive to buy into this raffle only to walk away with nothing or even worse a bottle nobody wants.

Yeah, exactly. 6 bottles out of 102 are a 2015 Knob Creek Pick, picked and signed by Fred Noe.

We've sold 50k worth of tickets so far... The knob creek store pick must be a hit!!!

bruh, I appreciate you trying to defend your store's raffle here, but this take is not helping your cause. We all know that right now the market is overrun with new FOMO blood who are caught up in the moment trying to get that weller or pappy. Nobody is dropping extra dollars to get a chance at a Knob store pick that is *gasp* signed by the owner. I've had signed bottles before, and they all end up in the same place any other bottle does once I drain it.

I am glad your raised funds are going to charity (and hopefully ALL of it is); that's a good thing. I am not even opposed to you selling raffle tickets. The issue is that the money used to buy 3 tickets puts a damn good bottle of bourbon on my shelf for that same price. You're selling your tickets at way too high a price point. You're actually limiting your sales, because people like me will not drop that kind of money on a very slim chance. Those that have been would be dropping that coin regardless of your ticket prices. My friend bought $100 worth of tickets from you. Guess what, he was spending that if they were $1.

All you did was annoy people like me and minimize the money for that charity. I was ready to buy a few until I heard $10, and I am not the only one.

Kinda strange to think your raffle is above criticism. You'd do better to just leave the thread instead of responding with this condescending bullshite. You're only running people off from your store. And if you aren't involved with them, I'd imagine they don't appreciate you running off business.

your chances of winning the raffle tomorrow is not proportional to your simping the owner on this board. You may think it is, but you'll figure it out

You realize 10 tickets for $100 and 100 tickets for $100 is the same, right? And if everyone is spending the same money on tickets, it sounds like Calandro's saved themselves 10x the work.

Can't wait to hear your take on Alexander's $15 buy in for raffle tickets.

I wonder if he matches some of the raffle proceeds with some of the stores money as well? or is the donation just all the consumers money? And he just benefits from sales and exposure?

First, I don’t drink whiskey. Second, I don’t know what simping means. Y’all stay mad.
