Y'all ever reuse a K-cup?

I've got one of those plastic K-cup filters you can put your favorite ground coffee in. I've been throwing the grounds out after one use. I've been thinking about trying to get 2 uses out of it. Any of y'all already doing this?

Don’t. The hot water extracts the oil and flavor from the grounds. When you run hot water over it a second time, all you’re going to get is a bitter mess.

Yes

You don't need to know "what coffee i'm using" to know that trying to extract coffee twice from the same grinds is going to yield shitty coffee.

Pretty much.

if 1 cup can make a 12oz cup of coffee, are you tossing it out after making 1 4oz cup of coffee or are you making 3 4oz cups out of it?

coffee snobs are the worst....no one cares about how much better your pour over tastes. We're all really impressed though

1 K-cup cannot make 12 oz of coffee. It can only make 12 oz of hot coffee flavored water

Tried it once as an experiment. Resulted in a very watered down cup of coffee.

If I'm too lazy to do a pour over, which is pretty frequent on weekdays, I'll use the K-Cup. At best, you can do 8 oz. Anything over that is gross.

I wouldnt.
You wouldn’t reuse grounds in any other situation
Even if you’re only making a cup, you’re generally using a lot less grounds to make it.

I was a scoutmaster for several years. We had a big 1 1/2 gallon campfire pot that as soon as we got there, we started up. We used a fresh cotton sock and added liberal amounts of grounds to it, tied the top and throw it into the pot. When the pot would get low, we would add water, pull out the sock, add more grounds, tie it back and toss it back into the pot. First cup was nice and strong. On the third day of a three day campout, it was getting nearly perfect.
